Riley Keough is looking at photos of her late mother, Lisa Marie Presley. The actress from Zola remembered Lisa Marie, who passed away on January 12, 2023, on Instagram. Lisa Marie was 54 years old. They are seen in the snapshot to be seated next to one another in a restaurant, smiling gently at the camera.

Riley said on January 24 that she was “fortunate to have a snapshot of the last time I saw my lovely mother” and was “grateful” to Dumplin’ actress Georgie Flores for taking the photo.

The photo was likely taken on January 8 during a celebration honouring Elvis Presley’s 88th birthday. Also shown are Baz Luhrmann, who directed the Elvis biopic, and Austin Butler, who played the King in many films.

Lisa Marie’s emergency medical transport to the hospital happened four days after the celebration. Priscilla Presley told People that her daughter Lisa Marie had gone away hours later.

Lisa Marie, Elvis’ only child, is survived by her daughter Riley, whom she had with ex-husband Danny Keough and Benjamin Keough, who tragically passed away. Michael Lockwood, her ex-husband, is the father of her twins, Harper and Finley, now 14 years old.

Riley, Harper, and Finley Presley, who will inherit Elvis’ Graceland house, broke their silence on Lisa Marie’s death on January 20 by uploading a throwback picture of themselves with a red heart emoji as a comment.

Ben Smith-Petersen, Riley’s spouse, delivered a message Riley had written for Lisa Marie in a letter titled “A Letter to My Mama” during the public memorial ceremony held for the singer at Graceland on January 22.

“Thank you for becoming my mother in this life,” he said to the actress on her behalf. “I will always cherish our 33 years together. Since I can remember, I’ve always known that you were the finest possible mother for me.”

A representative for the Terminal List actress confirmed to E! News that Riley and her husband are the proud parents of the girl, as mentioned in the letter.

The letter thanked the recipient for teaching the writer the value of love. “I pray that someday I will be able to love my kid as much as you loved my siblings and me.”

When Riley spoke in 2015 about her parents’ constant support of her pursuits, she remembered that her mother, Lisa Marie, had always been at her side.

She said in Interview, “They were receptive to the concept of my doing anything I wanted to do.” As a child, I remember thinking, “If I worked hard enough, I could be the president of England.”

But Lisa Marie urged Riley to put out her best effort no matter the situation. “My mum always taught me, ‘Anything you do in life, you’re going to have to take seriously and work extremely hard at and be successful at,'” Riley told InStyle in 2021. If you want to experience anything, you can’t simply touch the surface.
