As her husband refused to help out around the home, a mother revealed the humorous phoney shopping list she gave him to take to the store. Baby Sideburns, aka mommy blogger Karen Alpert, recently announced how she got even with her cheating husband on Facebook.
The American mom posted a picture of the grocery list on her Instagram, where her followers immediately started laughing. She said in the photo’s caption, “OMG, my spouse has been laying on the sofa all morning while I’ve been doing sooooo many things, so I eventually got furious and sent him to the grocery store with an impressive shopping list.”
Indeed, I did silence my phone’s ringing. Karen had written down, “3% milk, seedless strawberries, fat-free hummus, wheat thins (the ones in the blue box), unsour cream, diet cola (you may ask since it’s new), mellow cheese, organic Pop Tarts.”
With over 60,000 likes, 17,000 comments, and 51,000 shares, the message soon gained widespread attention once published online. On the post, a wry mother said, “My husband calls me regardless of what I send him for, every time.
As in, “This is hilarious because…” A further user said, “All I can say is glad gawd I wasn’t drinking anything when I glanced the second time, or my computer keyboard would have been damaged!”
I have a vested interest in hearing his report. The third person wrote, with another’s, “Fine. Not that I would ever do something that cruel, but it would be hilarious if I did. Karen makes light of her husband on her renowned parenting blog, referring to him as her “extremely helpful, gorgeous, fantastic spouse who I somehow deceived into marrying me.”
