When “The View” producers summoned Riley Gaines to set the record straight, they likely anticipated Whoopi Goldberg would have a field day with her.
They were in error. Ms. Gaines joined the programme remotely to describe how it felt to lose to a male twice her size.
Before she could utter three words, Whoopi yelled, “Just admit you’re a bigot who wants to get rich by riding on Lia Thomas’ coattails.” Gaines, who initially appears timid and unassuming, immediately transformed into the ferocious competitor we all know and love and attacked Whoopi.
“You don’t actually care about women,” she said sternly. “You have no idea what it’s like to go through something like this.” Goldberg was without words.
Whoopi finally uttered a contrition after a moment of gaping her mouth open. “I’m sorry,” she expressed.
Then she said, “I apologise…What> Did you just tell a black woman from New York how challenging your life is? Sweetheart, you tied for fifth place. You wish to succeed Tomi Lahren. Your eyes are much too close together, sweetheart.”
Gaines responded without hesitation. “Oh yeah?” she shrieked, “Well then you don’t even care about women!” Certainly, it was a magical occasion for her. America and Riley Gaines are blessed by God.
