Being a handyman is a career that many people find to be intriguing. They never know what they will encounter from day to day, and occasionally they might even get a surprise or two.Any repairman will tell you that they must pay attention to instructions given to them if there is one thing they will all agree on. If you don’t follow the directions, you could get into problems, and the repairman in this tale got himself into a terrible predicament.
Laura phoned a repairman after her dishwasher stopped working. She informed the repairman, “I’ll leave the key under the mat,” as she had to leave for work the following day. I’ll send you a cheque if you fix the dishwasher and leave the bill on the counter.Don’t worry about my bulldog, Bob, by the way. He won’t annoy you. However, under NO circumstances should you speak to my parrot! Do not converse with my parrot, I urge you.
The following day, when the repairman went to Laura’s flat, he found the biggest, meanest-looking bulldog he had ever seen.
But as she had said, the dog did nothing but sit there on the carpet and watch the repairman work.
The parrot, on the other hand, drove him crazy the entire time with his constant ranting, swearing, and calling names. When the repairman finally lost control, he exclaimed, “Shut up you stupid, ugly bird!”
The bird said, “Get him, Bob!”
