After death, a woman entered paradise. When she arrived to the pearly gates, an angel was already there.
She enquired, “What do I have to do to get in?”
The angel answered, “You just have to answer a question.”
The woman answered, “That doesn’t sound bad.” Say, “What is the question?”
The angel questioned, “What is the most important thing in life?”
The woman paused to reflect. “Love,” she said. “The most significant thing in life is love.”
The angel gave a nod. “That’s right,” he said. “Greetings from heaven.”
As soon as the woman arrived in paradise, she was encircled by love and beauty. She was aware that she had discovered her real home.
The woman was asked to watch over the pearly gates many years later. Greeting newcomers to heaven was something she enjoyed doing, and she was glad to do so.
A man came up to the gates one day. He was married to the woman.
She exclaimed, “My love!” “Why are you in this place?”
“It has died,” he declared. I’m overjoyed to see you once more.
She exclaimed, “I’m so glad to see you too.” “How did you die, though?”
He said, “I was in an automobile accident.” “A drunk driver struck me head-on as I was driving home from work.”
Her words were, “I’m so sorry.”
It’s alright, he said. “All that matters is that I’m here right now.”
Over the course of the following few days, the woman and her husband caught up on everything that had happened since their last encounter. They discussed their friends, their kids, and their grandkids. Together, they exchanged tears and laughter and reminisced about all of their wonderful memories.
The woman was sorry to see the man go when it was time for him to leave. He would be content in paradise, she knew it.
It was “I love you,” she said.
Adding, “I love you too,” he said. “I hope to see you soon.”
With that, the man turned and left, and the woman followed him out. She knew he would always remain in her heart and that she would never forget him.
For many years afterward, the woman kept watch over the pearly gates. She greeted a great number of newcomers and guided them into paradise. She realized that she was changing the world, which made her delighted to do.
An angel came up to the woman one day. It was time for her to return home, the angel informed her. Though she knew it was time, the woman was sorry to go. She entered the pearly gates after bidding her loved ones and friends farewell.
The woman stumbled into a stunning field. The birds were singing and the sun was blazing. Now that she was at last home, she knew.
The woman had a long and happy life in paradise. She knew she would never be alone again since she was surrounded by love and peace.
