In an interview before publishing his memoirs, Prince Harry said that his strained relations with the royal family of Britain “never needed to be this way” and that he hopes to mend fences with his father, King Charles, and brother, Prince William.

Monday saw the broadcast of a clip from an interview he gave to media outlets in which he expressed his regret that things had come to this.

“They have shown zero desire to make amends. To have my father back and my brother back is what I’d desire most in the world.”

Since leaving their positions as senior royals in 2020 and relocating to California, Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, have voiced their dissatisfaction with the monarchy.

The 38-year-old Harry has been open about his strained relationship with King Charles III and Prince William.

Separately, Harry told CBS News in the United States that the palace had declined to openly back him and his wife while also briefing against them.

He said to journalist Anderson Cooper, “There comes a time when silence is treachery” after being told for the previous six years, “We can’t put a statement out to protect you, but you do it for others in the family”.

On January 8, two days before the release of Harry’s autobiography Spare, both interviews will air on radio and television.

The six-part Netflix documentary on Harry and Meghan prompted the remarks.

In the series, Harry was quite critical of the royal press team and discussed the breakdown of his relationship with William and the rest of the royal family.

Prince Harry said that King Charles lied to the family at a meeting about his brother shouting at him while their late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, did nothing.

He reflected on the terrible experience, saying, “Having my brother yell and rage at me, having my father say things that were just not true, and having my grandma silently sit there and kind of take it all in.”

However, you should know that her family has its traditions and that the institution itself is her ultimate aim, objective, and obligation.

He elaborated on how he saw his mother, Princess Diana, withdraw farther within herself as she aged.

The “pain and anguish of women marrying into this institution,” as Harry put it, is the subject of this documentary.

Meghan said she wanted to terminate her life as she dealt with the negative attention she received frin the media.

“I didn’t deal with it especially well,” Harry said on the show. He said he had “handled it as institutional Harry as opposed to spouse Harry.”

It has been made clear that neither Buckingham Palace nor Kensington Palace will comment on the series or its contents.
