Influencer, 30, shares video announcing death weeks after birth of first child
In weeks after he turned into a father, a TikTok star named Tanner Martin published a heart-breaking video lifting the news of his death.

Tanner and wife Shay Martin went viral in late 2020 when having to share the journey of Tanner after being diagnosed with terminal cancer. They had their list written down of places to go and things to do
before Tanner could no longer travel along and do things so they called it a bucket list of adventures and things to do.
The couple went to Disney World, and renewed their vows and had vacations in Mexico and Italy. They also got to meet an actor called Mark Hamil, who is acting as Luke Skywalker in star Wars; the series that Tanner adores most.

In the last video by Tanner, a quote in the category of Star Wars is used in the caption, which went on to read: May the force be with you, by our angel force ghost.
Tanner stated in the video posted on Instagram by the athlete among his 455,000 followers, Hey, it is me, Tanner. When you read this I will be dead or at least my last message will be lighthearted.
He said he recorded a farewell video one year ago and mentioned that he had a so-called heck of a life.
It was sweet life. Having spent time here, I really liked it,” he posted.

I hope there is more after this. I can hardly wait to see these guys, and I hope that we are together now and ridiculing all you geeks.”
At the age of twenty-five Tanner was delivered the awful news he had colon cancer. The doctors assigned him two to five years as he could live given that he had cancer which was incurable.
Tanner had undergone a series of significant surgeries in addition to the chemotherapy and radiations of more than 50 rounds in 4 something years.

Tanner told People last autumn:触I think it is relevant to discuss the issue of death, particularly, to other individuals in a similar circumstances to mine. This is one of the things that you want to practice. You do not want your spouse to plan your funeral and even have no finances to do so”.
On May 15, 2025, the couple welcomed girl AmyLou, and in a TikTok video, they said that they did not want to be a childless couple, and they have tremendous values of becoming parents.
Cancer has dealt us so much. You tried your best to be a dad and I got to witness you being the best dog dad. We attempted IVF and were going to get a child, but it was blocked by sepsis and the development of your cancer. Until now.”
Some of his fans posted their tributes below his last video.
The most outstanding human being. Sweet Tanner rest in peace. Wishing you all love and prayers to the rest, especially Shay and beautiful baby girl,” one person wrote.
Sending you and your little girl prayer. Heaven just became better by an angel. Another said, love you.
