Horrifying timelapse footage shows just how quickly Texas flash flood happened as search continues for missing girls

The horrific reality of what’s occurring in Texas at the moment is depicted in the Twitter video.


Time-lapse video demonstrates the full extent of the Texas flash flood’s destruction, which has led to at least 51 fatalities and desperate search teams for missing females.

Those outside of Kerrville were struck by fatal flooding as the country celebrated the Fourth of July.

When the Guadalupe River reached breaking levels in a matter of minutes, Kerr County, Texas, was hit by a flash flood.

NBC News says that at least 51 individuals, including 15 children, have been confirmed dead.

Rescue personnel are still searching around the clock for up to 20 youngsters who were among the 750 girls who were enrolled in the water-swept Camp Mystic, a summer camp outside of Kerrville.

“They could be out of communication.” Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick clarified that the missing children are not necessarily “lost” in light of the fact that the camp has been left without electricity, water, or WiFi following the floods.


The mother of nine-year-old Janie Hunt, a member of Camp Mystic, acknowledged to CNN that her daughter has perished as a result of the floodwaters, despite the fact that many parents are frantically asking where their kids are.

According to an update sent by the Kerrville Police Department on July 5, rescue crews will “continue until we find all our citizens.”

They said on Facebook, “We have resources from all over the state and hundreds of first responders are here to help us.” “We are still thinking of the people who are missing and their families. We are and will continue to be focused on them.

Many people might not realize how quickly the floods spread around the region as the rest of the globe looks on.

But the full extent of the fatal waters, which took around seven minutes to transform from a clear route into a swamp, is seen in a timelapse video that was shared on Twitter.


The footage shows a group of people approaching a road dip when the floods abruptly surge past, transforming the once-clear path into a fatal flash flood.

Many of the comments were heartbroken and horrified.

One individual remarked: “Yeah, that scene is getting way too familiar.” “What’s happening?” another person said: “That’s frightening! People couldn’t leave in time, which makes sense. But why weren’t they alerted?

Rainfall is still pouring into Lone Star State as of right now, and the NWS has issued fresh flood advisories for local residents and businesses.

Greg Abbott, the governor of Texas, asked the federal government for assistance in dealing with the floods and issued an extended disaster declaration.


Many people are shocked by the tragedy and question how it could have happened so quickly. Kerr County Judge Rob Kelly has stated that a catastrophe of this size was unanticipated.

Kerrville’s city manager, Dalton Rice, told reporters why it occurred: “There are two forks running north and south when you look at the Guadalupe’s headwaters.

“Since 1987, under normal conditions, if you can call it that, you’ll hit water in one of those areas, and those two forks will converge into the Guadalupe, which comes through the city of Kerrville.”

On top of that, this rain storm poured more rain on both of those forks than was predicted, Rice added.

“When we got the report, it was about 7 feet or so on the south fork, and within a matter of minutes it was up to 29 feet, and all of that converged at Guadalupe.”
