How Sharon Osbourne granted Ozzy Osbourne final wish just weeks before death as she releases emotional tribute
One of his final desires was fulfilled in the final weeks of his life by his wife, Sharon Osbourne.
Sharon put a lot of effort into getting Ozzy back to his hometown in the UK so he could bid his fans farewell and contribute to a significant charity fund-raising effort.
In 2019, Ozzy received a Parkinson’s disease diagnosis.
This illness gradually impairs movement and the brain.
Other health issues that were not made public contributed to his declining health over time.
Sharon wanted to offer Ozzy one more pleasant moment despite these challenges.
The Back to the Beginning benefit concert was a massive event that she organised.
The scene was set in Aston, England, Ozzy’s childhood home.
The event served as a significant charity benefit in addition to providing an opportunity to recall his early years.
An incredible $189 million was raised.
Ozzy played with his original band, Black Sabbath, at the show.
Other well-known bands that performed included Anthrax, Slayer, Guns N’ Roses, and Metallica.
“Aston was the only place we could do it because that’s where Ozzy was born and grew up, right by the Villa ground,” Sharon explained to Music Business Worldwide as to why the city was the ideal location for the occasion.
I considered inviting every band he has ever played with to perform; perhaps some Sabbath and Ozzy tunes would be included.
It turned into a music festival.
Every generation that has been influenced by Ozzy and Sabbath will be present.
Sharon discussed Ozzy’s health and spirit in an interview with The Sun, saying, “Parkinson’s is a disease that gets worse over time.”
His legs are among the various bodily parts affected.
But he still has a powerful voice.
Ozzy expressed his sincere gratitude to his fans throughout the performance, saying, “You have no idea how I feel — thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
Only a few weeks after this momentous occasion, Ozzy Osbourne passed away quietly on July 22.
His devoted family was all around him.
In a statement, the Osbourne family said: “We must inform you that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne passed away this morning with more sadness than words can express.”
He was surrounded by affection and with family.

“Aston Villa Football Club is sad to hear that world-famous rockstar and Villan, Ozzy Osbourne, has passed away,” the team posted on Twitter.
