His friends, family, and the local construction sector have all been profoundly impacted by his passing.
Growing up in Queensland, Alroe had aspirations of playing rugby league.

In 2002, at the age of 19, he joined with the renowned NRL team, the Melbourne Storm.
Despite not reaching the highest levels of the sport, he learned perseverance, collaboration, and hard work during his time with the Storm, which he used to his future job in construction.
Alroe left rugby to pursue a career in construction, starting off as a bricklayer’s worker.
Later, while working for a prestigious builder, he received carpentry training and acquired the abilities that would determine his career.
Alroe launched his own carpentry company in 2008, and it quickly gained recognition for producing high-caliber work.

He eventually rose from a tradesman to a manager at Hutchinson Builders, where he oversaw a staff of over 60 employees.
Alroe became one of the leading small-scale developers on the Gold Coast in 2012 when he founded Alroe Constructions.
His company had contracts between $185 million to $250 million and made between $50 million and $70 million annually.
In South East Queensland and Northern New South Wales, Alroe Constructions constructed opulent townhouses and apartments with an emphasis on fine designs that felt roomy and encouraged healthy living.

Important projects included Habitat in Tugun, Sera in Main Beach, The Finn in Mermaid Beach, a $31 million building that is now complete, and the impending $31 million Lune project, which will contain six spacious villa-style houses.
