Country Singer Drake White and Wife Alex Lose Baby Daughter: ‘We’ll See Her Again Someday’
Instead of being a time of renewed happiness, the country music artist and his loyal wife are experiencing heartbreak as their world is ripped apart in the most unfathomable and devastating way.
Once inspiring listeners with their tenacity and optimism, country music star Drake White and his wife, Alex White, are currently grieving the tragic death of their young daughter, Della Elizabeth White.
As a result of the tragedy, they are holding on to their faith and are surrounded by an outpouring of sympathy from friends, fans, and other believers. Alex broke the terrible news in a heartfelt Instagram message.
Fans show their support for the family, saying, “We are heartbroken and soul tired, but we know we will get through this difficult time with the strength, peace, and joy that only our Heavenly Father can provide.” “No one should ever go through this kind of pain,” the fans say. In the tragic message, Alex said, “May Della be held in the arms of Jesus until we see her again someday.”
Her post received immediate response. Messages of love, heartache, and everlasting faith in the face of the unthinkable were shared by fans, friends, and other Christians.
“I’m sending you all of my love,” one person wrote. This anguish is beyond description. Della is very treasured, and you are all so adored. I’m keeping you all close to my heart right now.

From Adversity to Happiness: The Path to Parenthood Was Far From Simple
Parenting was not an easy path for the Whites. Six long years of failures, medical crises, and excruciating uncertainty characterized their journey.
Drake, who is well-known for his soulful Southern vocals, had a terrible stroke while performing live in 2019. It almost broke everything. When Alex was admitted to the hospital in 2020, it was discovered that she had both type 1 diabetes and a rare neurological condition called chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP).
“We’ve experienced a lot, from Alex being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and an autoimmune disease to my suffering a stroke while performing. In a tearful 2022 interview with People, Drake said, “And then this was just something else that tested our faith and tested our strength.”
The pair persevered in spite of their struggles. In 2022, they resorted to in vitro fertilization (IVF), which ultimately produced seven healthy embryos, a ray of hope in their darkest moments.
While standing in a Costco parking lot, Alex got the call confirming her pregnancy. She called this particular occasion “divinely timed.” She stated to the magazine:
“As a nurturer, I can’t picture having to divide my time between being a wife and a mother if God had blessed us with a kid at that time. If I had been forced to do that, I would have been incredibly conflicted, anxious, and stressed. It seemed as though the Lord knew exactly what we needed at that precise moment.
A Miracle Occurs—And Heavenly Signs Follow
William Hawk White, their first child, was born in January 2023, fulfilling their prayers. His name had spiritual meaning because the couple interpreted the regular appearance of hawks as a divine omen from above during their fertility journey.
“Having our baby by our side makes us really happy. It is a holy time in our lives and genuinely the greatest blessing in life,” they told the newspaper.
The pair thrived in their new role as parents with Hawk in their arms. With the happy Instagram announcement that a baby girl was on the way, their family’s happiness increased once again. “Hawk is going to start his big brother responsibilities! “This November, we’re thrilled to welcome a baby girl into our family,” Drake wrote excitedly.
Then, in a heartfelt ode to his wife of more than ten years, the country crooner wrote, “Happy 11th Anniversary @alexm_white! With you in it, life is better! 💛.
A Tragic Update Nobody foresaw it coming.
On September 7, 2025, however, Alex made a comeback on Instagram, but this time it was with unfathomable sadness rather than happiness. Baby Della, the couple’s second child, had passed away. Alex disclosed:
“On August 31st, Sunday. Della Elizabeth White, our beloved daughter, departed in peace to be with Jesus. Throughout this trying time, the Lord has been very close to us. Through it all, he has supported and uplifted us.
Della was born on Sunday at 8:52 a.m. and died 20 minutes later. Her short life has left a date marked with sadness for all time.
The loss of baby Della is a harsh and sad turn of events for a couple who had already survived a fire and come out on the other side with their faith intact. Their delight has been replaced by a pain that words can hardly express, turning what should have been a season of celebration into one of sadness.
