Lonely Mom Checks Baby in the Morning and Is Confused Seeing His Diaper Had Already Been Changed — Story of the Day
When a seventeen-year-old girl finds out she is pregnant, her religious adoptive parents expel her from the house, but she ultimately finds support in the most unlikely place.
Her adoptive mother yelled, “Get out!” as Kendall wailed and covered her face with her hands. “You repulsive liar! I will not allow you to live in this house with your naive siblings.

Kendall sent her adoptive father a beseeching glance, but he turned away and slumped his shoulders. He would never, ever disobey his mother! Kendall was shoved toward the door by her mother. “The fathers’ transgressions! I should have anticipated that, like your mother, you would be a loose woman.
Before her adoptive father emerged with a backpack, Kendall sat on the curb in front of the house, crying. Then he handed her a little roll of dollar dollars and said, “Your sister packed a few things for you,” “I apologize, Kendall. However, you are familiar with your mother.
Glancing up at him, Kendall wiped her eyes. She said, “She’s not my mom!” “You’re not my father, either! You made a vow to always love me; that’s what true parents do.” Then, looking embarrassed, he left, and Kendall collected her few belongings and left as well.

She and four other children had been nurtured at the Jordans’ house after being adopted as a baby. Although the Jordans were lovely people, they were religious fanatics who believed that Christmas and birthdays were immoral.
Like any other adolescent, Kendall had begun to rebel against the limitations placed on her and her siblings’ lives—attending church on Sundays and school during the week. She wanted to wear makeup and nice clothes to the movies.
She lost any sense of real boundaries since she was deprived of her desires to go to parties, kiss boys, and fall in love. After being engaged with the school bad guy, she became pregnant in a matter of months.
With bitterness, she told herself, “No miracles now!” “No guardian angel to watch over you!” The idea of having a guardian angel who kept watch over her and occasionally brought presents into her life was one of Kendall’s favorite fantasies.

She had always received birthday presents through the school, which she kept hidden in her locker and never brought home. She would see a bright Christmas stocking full of prohibited sweets and candy canes dangling from the tree outside her window during the holiday season.
Kendall had kept an eye out for her guardian angel, but she never saw the enigmatic figure. She needed that angel the most now that she was pregnant and alone in the world.
She carried her rucksack on her lap as she walked to the local park and took a seat. She tallied the amount of money she had received from her adopted father. A little more than $56. Even one night at a seedy motel wasn’t enough.

Remember that there is always a guardian angel keeping watch over us, no matter how hopeless and dire things appear.
Kendall began to cry once more as she heard a kind voice. “Hey, girl, how could it be so awful? Momma Mila might be able to assist you.
A tall woman grinned amiably at Kendall as she looked up. She wore a flowery, vividly colored apron, while he held a bundle of roses in one hand and pruning sheers in the other.
“I’m…OK…” Kendall took a whiff.
After shaking her head, the woman took a seat beside Kendall. She remarked, “No, honey, you’re not,” “But you may tell me, you know. I’m not a judge.
Kendall then revealed her entire wretched tale, adding, “So I have no money, no job, nowhere to go, and a baby to take care of.”

Calmly, “I’ll give you a job,” Mila said. “And I have a little place you can stay but you gonna have to take care of the baby yourself!”
Kendall gasped, “You’ll give me a job?” “Really” ?
“Yes,” Mila replied. “I’ve been hoping to create another flower stand near the business center, but I currently have one at this end of the park. We’ll see how it goes once I show you how to make the floral arrangements.
Even though she was crying, Kendall was grinning. “I am capable of doing that! I adore flowers.
“Well then,” Mila acknowledged. “Come along and see the little apartment I can set you up in.”
The distance to the flat was short. Although it was small, it was incredibly snug and clean, and Kendall was ecstatic about her good fortune. Perhaps, after all, her guardian angel was keeping an eye on her!

The following few months saw a steady improvement. Mila was thrilled with Kendall, and the flower stand in the business district was a great success. her was taken by Dr. Mila, who certified that her and the child were both well.
Kendall gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, Michael, five months later. It was really difficult to adjust to a newborn, but Mila offered Kendall three months off before she had to return to work.
Kendall had to change Micahel’s diapers all the time, and he wailed all the time. Kendall was completely worn out, and he never appeared to sleep for more than ten minutes at a time. Then one morning, the sun was shining into her bedroom when she woke up.
She said, “Michael!” and hurried to her infant’s small room. Michael looked like a complete angel, sleeping soundly with his little fists under his chin. Kendall was shocked that her son had slept through the entire night without being fed or having his diaper wet!
Then she saw that his diaper was fresh and clean, and the bottle she had set out for his nightly feeding was empty. She thought to herself, “That’s so weird!” “Did I feed and change him in my sleep?”
Michael didn’t cry again that night, and he was dry, fed, and sleeping soundly when Kendall woke up. “This is getting really creepy!” Kendall pondered. It’s possible that I’m sleepwalking. I’m not going to sleep tonight.”

At three in the morning, Kendall heard a quiet cry followed by hushed noises as she lay awake, waiting for the smallest sound coming from Michael’s chamber. Michael’s room had a visitor!
Kendall took a quick look around the room. A woman was changing Michael’s diaper while stooping over his crib and speaking to him gently. Kendall pressed the switch for the lights. She yelled, “Who are you?” “Get away from my baby!”
Michael began to yell as the woman gasped. The woman then took Michael in her arms and began to calm him. Calmly, “Hello Kendall,” she said. “I’m Martha Douglas and I’m your mother.”
Martha shared her story with Kendall. Martha, like Kendall, became pregnant at the age of sixteen. “My mother wanted me to have an abortion, but I refused,” Martha said. “I had to give you up after she ejected me.
“It crushed my heart and was the toughest thing I have ever done. I visited you as frequently as I could and brought you Christmas and birthday gifts because I was determined to stay in your life, Kendall.”

“After graduating from high school, I launched my own company. It was easy to convince one of my employees, Mila, to offer you a job because I have over thirty flower shops in the city. It was my late mother’s home.
However, why didn’t you speak up? Why did you hide? Kendall enquired.
Martha gave a shrug. “I was ashamed,” she said in a low voice. “I understand how you must feel about me, particularly given that you’re keeping your child… I only wanted you to get a few restful nights’ sleep; I didn’t want you to find out.”
According to Kendall, “I’m lucky,” as she embraced Martha. “If it weren’t for you and Mila, I would have to give up Michael as well. How could I have a negative opinion of you?
The two of them moved into Martha’s lovely home once she got her daughter and grandson back. At last, Kendall had an understanding and affectionate mother who provided her with unwavering love and support.

What does this narrative teach us?
Remember that there is always a guardian angel keeping watch over us, no matter how hopeless and dire things appear. Before Mila and Martha provided her with a job and a place to live, Kendall was homeless, poor, and expecting a child.
Unconditional love and support are given to children by good parents. Kendall’s true mother defended her after her adoptive mother threw her out for being a “sinner.”
