Diane Keaton, Beloved Hollywood Icon, Dies at 79
We are deeply saddened to announce Diane Keaton’s passing.
The incredibly endearing, eccentric, and innovative actress who blazed a trail on screen for more than 50 years passed away in California at the age of 79.

In the 1970s, Keaton’s floppy hats, elegant outfits, and warm, witty voice made her a cultural icon. She became a fashion icon and received an Oscar for her role as Kay Adams in The Godfather, which helped define an era with Annie Hall.
She effortlessly embraced age and sincerity, bringing the same spark to later hits like the Book Club movies, Something’s Gotta Give, and The First Wives Club.
She was born Diane Hall, the oldest of four children, in Los Angeles in 1946. Her mother, whose maiden name she later assumed, Keaton, was a homemaker, while her father worked as a civil engineer.
She stayed shamelessly herself both on and off screen: an actor, a style icon, and a genuine original who made an impression in every part she played.

Her family has requested privacy as they grieve the loss of one of the most cherished voices in film, and no other information regarding the star’s passing has been disclosed.
