The former model shared the news of her cancer diagnosis in an emotional Instagram post. As she collaborates closely with her medical team, she is increasingly depending on her family for assistance.

Vanessa Trump has been raising her five children in silence for years, mostly avoiding the spotlight, but she suddenly has something significant that she can’t keep to herself.

The 48-year-old former model and ex-wife of Donald Trump Jr. announced her cancer diagnosis in a very personal Instagram post on Thursday, May 21.”I recently received a breast cancer diagnosis,” she stated in a statement that was uploaded to her account. “While this isn’t news anyone expects, I’m working closely with my medical team on a treatment plan.”

Vanessa continued by expressing gratitude to her physicians for a treatment they had done earlier this week. She said that she was “staying focused and hopeful” while surrounded by her loved ones.

She concluded with a statement that was both polite and firm:

Vanessa and her ex-husband, Donald Jr., are parents to five children: Kai, 19; Donald, 17; Tristan, 14; Spencer, 13; and Chloe, 11.
