Robin Williams’ San Francisco Home: An Emotional Wedding Venue for His Son on the Late Actor’s Birthday
Inside Robin Williams’ San Francisco Home Where His Son Wed on Late Actor’s Birthday
After his death in 2014, Robin Williams left behind Zelda, Zachary, and Cody, his children.
The actor raised his children in their San Francisco home with the help of his ex-wife, Marsha Williams.
On his wedding day in 2019, the actor was honored by Robin’s youngest son.

Robin Williams was an incredible comedian and actor. His work in family-friendly movies like “Aladdin,” “Jumanji,” “Happy Two Feet,” and “Night at the Museum” won him over the hearts of young audiences.
On August 11, 2014, Robin committed suicide at his Tiburon, California, home. On July 21, 2024, the actor, who was born on July 21, 1951, would have turned 73. Three children, Zelda, 34, Zachary, 41, and Cody, 32, were left behind by him. At the time of his passing, the movie star was unmarried and had been married three times.
In 1978, Robin got married to Valerie Velardi, his first wife, and the two divorced in 1988. Zachary Williams was born into Robin and Valerie’s marriage. In April 1989, the actor wed Marsha Garces. During their marriage, Zelda and Cody Williams were born to the couple.

Marsha filed for divorce from Robin in 2008, claiming that they couldn’t agree on anything. She requested shared legal custody of their children, granting Robin visitation privileges and spousal support. When all of their assets were totaled, Marsha sought the court to divide their property.
Marsha and Robin collaborated on a number of plays together during their marriage, including as “Jakob the Liar,” “Patch Adams,” and “Mrs. Doubtfire.” Following the divorce decree, Robin wed Susan Schneider in 2011, but the two separated amicably in 2014 and never had children together.

Nestled at the corner of Sea Cliff Avenue and El Camino Del Mar in San Francisco, Robin and Marsha reared their children, Zelda and Cody.
When Robin moved in with Marsha in the 1990s, he refurbished the gorgeous 10,600 square foot property. The mansion, which dates back to 1926, features more than 20 rooms, six bedrooms, five complete baths, and three half bathrooms.\

In October 2023, the property with stunning views of the Pacific Ocean, Marin Headland, San Francisco Bay, and the Golden Gate Bridge was up for sale. The asking price was $25 million.
The home’s listing is held by Steven Mavromihalis, who mentioned that although Robin and Marsha increased the house’s size from its original design, they preserved the rare and priceless materials that were used to build it in 1926.

The mansion features a magnificent entryway that leads to the opulent public rooms, and a cinema theater that was added by the Oscar-winning actor and Marsha.

Through double French patio doors, the movie room, whiskey room, library, and billiards room lead to the south gardens and outside space.
The entire estate is surrounded by gorgeous grass, bushes, gardens, beautiful plants, mature trees, and hedges. It’s ideal for entertaining because it offers multiple seating places and unobstructed views.
There is a four-car garage with tandem and side-by-side parking at the house. The living room of the mansion is large, with wooden beams running the length of the ceiling. It also features a French door that opens to the terrace and a wood-burning fireplace.

The beautiful eat-in kitchen of the mansion is located next to the butler’s pantry. It features three sinks and lots of counter space. The finest material was used to create the custom cabinets. The media entertainment room, which has a half bathroom and access to the east lawn and patio for outside eating, is located off the kitchen.

The main suite, which has views of the Pacific Ocean and the Golden Gate Bridge, is thoughtfully designed to exude calm and tranquillity.
It contains a large closet and dressing area, as well as a bath. Inside the soaking tub is a separate walk-in shower. There are four bedrooms, two complete bathrooms, and a home office on the upper level of the house.

The house features a large ventilated walk-in vault as well as other concealed safe rooms. A guest apartment with one bedroom, a fitness center with a full bathroom, and a sauna are located on the garden level. This floor also features an endless storage closet, pantry, and wine cellar.
Marsha revealed that she and Robin shared this home. She claimed that because their mansion had to appear amazing, and because Robin loved to shop, they bought contemporary and unknown art to decorate it. Marsha decorated the house with a mix of handmade, antique, and modern objects.

The house was also crammed with a collection of toys, since Robin had an obsession with them. But some things were even more special because Marsha and the actor used to give each other original artwork for special occasions like birthdays.
Marsha offered their collection of artwork for sale in 2018. She claimed the reason the two cherished these pieces was that they made them think, laugh, and cherish each other.
The star of “The World’s Greatest Dad”‘s youngest son paid tribute to Robin in 2019 when he got married at the mansion where he and Marsha reared him.

In many ways, Robin was quite proud of his children. He didn’t think of himself as the world’s best father, though, or as flawless as a father. All he saw in himself was a loving but imperfect father.
Zachary followed his aspirations of being an actor and director after earning a degree in rhetoric from New York University. As an actor, Zelda established herself in horror films. In the meanwhile, the father of three called his actor son Cody “kind but brilliant.”
On July 21, 2019, Cody Williams married Maria Flores Williams on the late actor’s 68th birthday, as a way of paying tribute to the late star.

In the late actor’s San Francisco home, where he and Marsha reared their children, the actor’s son also married Maria. In addition, Cody and his spouse spent more than six years falling in love in this house before getting hitched.

During the wedding, Cody and Maria paid respect to their departed loved ones. In addition, the couple burned three candles to symbolize their unwavering love for their departed family members.
Zelda was thrilled that July 21 would signify more than only their father’s birthday and the day she said goodbye to Robin Williams every year. Additionally, Cody and Maria’s wedding anniversary falls on this day. It also represents the day Zelda welcomed Maria into her family.

Supporters also gave Cody kudos for the lovely way he honored his father. What a lovely gesture it is to get married on your late father’s birthday; he would be very proud of you,” an admirer remarked. Warmest regards to the two of you.”
“How lovely a gesture for an excellent comedian and great actor!” exclaimed another fan, confirming this statement. According to a fan, Cody invited his dad to the wedding. The admirer said, “A son just wanted his dad’s spirit there.”

Even after his passing, Robin is still proud of his children. As performers and directors, they have forged independent careers in the entertainment sector. Additionally, they make an effort to commemorate and remember their father on important events.
