Woman Goes On Blind Date and Invites 23 Family Members to Dinner to Test Her Date’s Generosity

Miss Zhang made the decision to invite 23 family members to dinner in an effort to gauge the generosity of her blind date. The goal of this peculiar scheme was to see how ready Mr.

Lui would be to support her and her family. But Zhang was surprised by how differently the scenario turned out.

The incident happened in the eastern Chinese province of Zhejiang in a restaurant. Zhang thought it would be a good idea to ask Lui to show his potential as a provider and show his charity by paying for a lunch for her huge family.

Lui was shocked to learn that he would be dining with 23 other people, as he had originally intended to wow Zhang by taking her to a lovely meal.

Given the unforeseen cost, it made sense that Mr. Lui would not want to cover the group’s expenses. Tensions increased as the lunch went on and the bill increased to a whopping 20,000 yuan (about $3,100).

Zhang and her family were left with the tab after Mr. Lui opted to vacate the restaurant instead of providing the outrageous amount of money.

That was not the end of the story. Zhang decided to sue Mr. Lui in an attempt to hold him partially responsible for the bill since he felt wronged by the way the date went.

The court’s decision that Mr. Lui should only pay 1,400 yuan—a small portion of the entire cost—showed that Zhang was primarily responsible for the bill.

This episode emphasizes the dangers of putting someone through such a severe and noticeable character test. Although Zhang may have wanted to make sure Lui was giving and could provide for her family, the approach she used was seen as being too harsh and unnecessarily harsh.

The result serves as a helpful reminder that in the initial phases of any relationship, honest communication and reasonable expectations are essential. Honesty and directness frequently offer a more solid and constructive basis for determining someone’s character than complex systems.
