Days Before Her Wedding, Millionaire’s Daughter Goes Undercover as Homeless to Test Fiancé’s True Character – A Captivating Tale
Unexpectedly, Ava falls in love with the man her parents set up for her marriage. However, days before their wedding, she finds out disturbing rumors about him, so she comes up with a test to find out what his real motivations are.
Gasping for breath, Ava glanced up at Walter, the man her parents had introduced her to. He rose from his seat, impeccably dressed in a sleek, modern suit that highlighted his well-built frame, his blue eyes shining under the elegant lighting.

He grinned and guided Ava to her seat, making her heart skip a beat.
Walter is my son, Ava,” his mother introduced him to.
Ava’s mother Hilda asked in a whisper, “What do you think?” observing her daughter’s flushed cheeks.
The atmosphere around the large dining table at the restaurant buzzed with both anxiety and excitement as the families gathered. Initially, Ava was hesitant about meeting Walter, but she quickly found herself drawn to him. His courteous demeanor throughout the dinner, as well as in their subsequent encounters, only deepened her admiration for him.
She said yes without second thought when he got down on one knee and proposed a few weeks later.
Walter slipped a diamond ring onto her finger, and she exclaimed with joy, “Yes, I’ll marry you!”

With just a few weeks to go before the big day, Ava and her friend Hillary visited a boutique to select Ava’s wedding gown. The wedding was scheduled.
As they waited to be called, they overheard two women softly chatting nearby.
Ava tried not to listen at first, but she could not have missed a few phrases because they were so loud, especially when she heard Walter’s name.
One woman murmured incredulously, “You mean Walter, the blue-eyed playboy, is getting married?”
Another woman said, “Apparently, his parents found him a millionaire’s daughter.”
It was Ava’s turn to listen, but before she could say anything more, one of the attendants came up to talk to her.

“You heard those people chatting in the lobby, right?” Hillary asked as they walked behind the attendant.
“Do you know how many Walters there are in this state?” In response, Ava brushed off the reports. She was certain that her Walter was unique.
Ava drove to Walter’s residence an hour later. The roads were soaked from the previous rain, and as she got closer to his mansion, she saw some homeless individuals bunched together by the side of the road, attempting to get dry.
After lowering her window to give them some cash and slowing down to prevent splattering water on them, Ava was shocked to hear what they were talking about.
“We were sprayed with water by the wealthy man in the red automobile! He’s lost all of that money on himself! And I bet that money isn’t his! It’s his parents’,” a man with a beard complained.
A woman added sourly, “He thinks he can do anything with his handsome looks.”
Ava, startled and confused, rolled up her window as she approached Walter’s mansion, questioning whether the conversation was about him. While she couldn’t tell if his philanthropic efforts and kind demeanor were genuine or merely a facade, she had certainly taken note of them.
She was shocked to hear him ranting on the phone as she used the spare key she always carried to enter his home.

“Leave them right now! I wish to get rid of them all.” His face twisted with rage, he growled.
When he turned around and saw her, his tone softened abruptly.
“I wish to save those panhandlers the agony of this downpour. “Find them somewhere, right now!” he said, hanging up.
“Ava!” Grinning, he came over to her. “In the downpour, I noticed a few homeless folks. He said, “I was setting up refuge for them because it broke my heart. Ava nodded, unsure of what to say. She pretended that everything was alright the entire night, but it wasn’t.
In just a week, she would be getting married, and Walter was set to assume the role of director at one of her father’s nonprofit organizations.
When Ava got home, she talked to Hillary about everything and came up with a scheme to find out what kind of person Walter really was.
“Why not hire a private investigator?” Hillary recommended. “Isn’t it simpler than employing a performer? What occurs if it fails?

“It will. Around strangers, people tend to let their guard down, and this particular actor I hired is quite good,” Ava said.
Wearing large hats to hide their faces, they gathered at Walter’s favorite café the following day.
“Aren’t you worried Walter might get angry if he finds out?” Hillary questioned warily.
Ava reassured herself, “He won’t suspect anything if everything goes according to plan,” as she waited for Walter to arrive. She had already messaged him, outlining her plan: “I’m craving coffee, babe. Where’s your favorite spot to get it?” She added, “I’ll be at your office.” Later, she intended to send another message saying that work was preventing her from making it.
Ava watched Walter intently as he walked into the café. Wearing black jeans and a white shirt, Walter drew praise as he gave the order. Though Ava was filled with pride, she was also worried about the actor she had brought in to put him to the test.

“I hope everything goes smoothly,” she said to Hillary in a whisper.
Walter was waiting until the actor Ava had hired, a scruffy man, came to the counter. Out of disdain, Walter moved aside so the man could place his order first.
Ava said in a whisper, “He’s so nice,” not realizing that Walter was lying.
“Yeah, surprising,” Hillary remarked, skepticism yet mounting for Walter.
Masking his annoyance, Walter paid for the man’s coffee and bread because he just wanted the stinky, impoverished man to go as quickly as possible.
Tensions rose when the man accidentally splashed coffee onto Walter’s jumper. Walter was furious, but he managed to rein in his anger upon spotting a familiar face in the room.
With tears flowing down his cheeks, the man mumbled, “I’m s-sorry, sir.”

Walter forced a smile, seething beneath the surface. “No need to worry! It’s just clothing,” he said, guiding the man to the counter. “You can grab more food there; I’ll cover it.” Meanwhile, he was hurriedly typing a brief message to his friend on his phone.
Ava was proud of Walter’s generosity as she observed from a distance. She told Hillary, “He’s the man I thought he was,” but Hillary wasn’t completely persuaded.
The beggar smiled as he walked side by side with Walter as soon as he went outdoors. He took the man’s shirt and gave him a stern whisper just as they were turning a corner. “You’ll regret it if you tell Ava about this,” he said, hurling his steaming coffee at the man and turning to leave.
Ava, on the other hand, decided it would be foolish to distrust him and sent him the SMS. “See, I told you he’s a nice guy,” she said to Hillary in response.

After reading her message and getting in his car, Walter grimaced. He was aware that Ava had suspicions. He dialed his reliable friend Brandon in a desperate attempt to get advise.
Joe, the actor that Ava had used to put Walter to the test, dismissed his clothes that were drenched in coffee. He ignored calling his customer and went home, feeling the pain in his neck from Walter’s hold.
There was tension in the air at Walter’s residence. Walter exclaimed, “She knows!”
“Slow down. What precisely does she know?” While pouring his pal a glass of wine, Brandon asked.
Walter gave an explanation of Ava’s exam and his concern over her doubts.

“Invest more cash in those charitable events she enjoys attending. Walter listened intently as Brandon told him, “There’s barely a week to the wedding, and all you have to do is persevere until then.”
After getting home that evening, Ava found herself on the phone with Walter for hours, convinced that he was the only person she wanted to share her life with forever.
“I love you, too,” she muttered into the phone as she hung up and bid farewell.
Ava went shopping for her outfit by herself two days prior to the wedding. Suddenly a woman was in her way. “I take it you’re Ava? The one who’s going to marry Walter?” the woman inquired frank.
“I am, indeed. Ava answered, presuming the woman was one of Walter’s former girlfriends, “I love him.”
“Avoid getting married to him. The woman sternly warned, “He’s not who you think he is,” and then she turned to go.
The woman got into her car and sped off, but Ava after her.

Ava felt confused and anxious as she collected her bridal dress, left to wonder about the woman’s motives. Determined to uncover any information, she decided to call Joe, the actor she had hired to assess Walter.
After his performance in the cafe, she had paid him for his services but had not heard from him again. At the time, she wasn’t giving it much thought because she believed Walter to be a genuinely compassionate and kind man. Her initial calls went unanswered by Joe, who then quickly hung up after giving her a stern warning to avoid Walter.
Confused and taken aback, Ava reflected on Joe’s reply and resolved to confront Walter herself this time, without any intermediaries. She planned to disguise herself as a homeless person and approach Walter to uncover the truth about his true character.
At the upscale restaurant where they were scheduled to meet, Ava waited for Walter, dressed in shabby, old clothes and a soiled scarf. In her disguise as a beggar, she approached him in the parking lot and asked for assistance.

Walter unwillingly gave her some cash and turned away, keeping in mind Brandon’s suggestion to keep a positive public image.
Ava couldn’t help but feel a bit bad for not believing him after witnessing his “kindness.” As soon as she walked into the restaurant, she made her way straight to him and attempted to take his arm while calling his name.
“Wal—” she started, but before she could finish speaking, she felt a strong, piercing force against her face.
Walter gave her a slap.
“I-I’m a woman,” Ava stammered in disbelief, at a loss for words as she observed Walter glaring at her with unfriendly and strange eyes.
“You filthy sorceress! I only refrained from slapping you previously because we were in public. You follow me? How dare you!” Walter growled. “You poverty-stricken set of beggars, I hate your kind the most!”
After suppressing his feelings for some time, Walter saw that the restaurant was completely deserted and saw it as a perfect opportunity to vent his frustrations on the beggar who had the audacity to get dangerously close to him.

“You think you can take advantage of the fact that I’ve been trying to obtain a woman to marry me by giving them a pleasant look? Leave, or I’ll give you another slap!” Walter kept shouting, and Ava sensed that he meant everything he said.
Her eyes burned from the anguish and the understanding that Walter was not the man she had fallen in love with, and she felt her face burn as she touched it.
Ava pulled off her disguise to expose who she really was as he ordered security to take her out.
“It’s me, Ava,” she at last exclaimed, her heart crumbling.
His countenance became pallid. “A-Ava? How could you trick me in this way? Was all of this a ruse, a test? I believed you to be in love with me. Trying to salvage something positive, he muttered, “I thought you trusted me.”
Ava, though, only grinned and shook her head.

She exclaimed, “The wedding is off, loser!” as she walked away.
Ava’s parents set her up with another match a few months later. She got to know Brandon, who struck her as a composed, gentlemanly man.
“Bryan is my name. You’ve probably heard a lot about me. He smiled a beautiful greeting at her.
Ava thought, I guess appearances may be very deceiving. Ava learned that this man was much more lethal than Walter thanks to the private detective she had hired. With a smirk, she resolved to impart a lesson on him that he would never forget.
