Lucy makes us incredibly happy every day and is the light of our lives. I was able to spend all of my time with her because I worked from home, and I treasured every second of it.

We ultimately chose to hire Sarah. Her excitement was infectious, and Lucy seemed to connect with Kevin more. However, I was unable to put my worries aside. After Kevin had gone to bed the night before my departure, I covertly set up security cameras throughout the house.

“Don’t worry, Kevin. Lucy’s well-being is what matters,” I responded, giving him a firm embrace.

At that moment, Sarah entered the room with a rather uncertain expression. “Hello, Hayley. I really apologize for anything. I tried my best to assist Lucy.

With tears in my eyes, I turned to face her. “I’m grateful, Sarah. I appreciate you being there for Kevin and Lucy. Without you, I’m not sure what we would have done.

Sarah looked relieved as she smiled. “I’m just glad she’s okay.”

I kept thinking about all that had transpired as the days went by. Sarah had shown herself in a way that surprised me. I came to see how foolish my doubts had been. She was more than just a nanny; in times of need, she saved our family.

Sarah sat down with Kevin and me one evening. “Sarah, we’ve been talking, and we want to offer you a permanent position with us,” stated Kevin.
