Little Boy’s Heartfelt Santa Letter Leaves His Father Reeling — A Story of Love and Redemption

Businessman Reads Little Son’s Letter to Santa Saying ‘I Want another Dad’ — Story of the Day

Peter received nearly everything a little child could want after being adopted by an affluent family. He still didn’t spend much time with James, his adopted father. James was struck by an epiphany after reading Peter’s Christmas letter.

Peter spent two years in a foster home after losing his birth parents when he was just three years old. He met his adoptive parents, a tall, stocky guy named James and a kind woman named Heather, just before he turned five.

Peter was greeted by the couple and shown around their house, which was unlike anything he had ever seen. “This is even bigger than The White House!” Peter stated. Laughing, Heather showed him around. Peter grew close to his adoptive mother over the course of the following year, and she helped him with his homework and taught him how to bake.

James appeared to be always occupied. He would either be preoccupied in his home office or away on business excursions. Although Heather was aware that Peter might consider her hobbies “girly,” she made every effort to keep him busy and content. “Mom, how do car engines work?” At one point, Peter inquired.

He gestured to one of James’ vintage muscle vehicles, where a portion of the engine protruded from the hood. “I’m not sure, Peter. The person who got it made that way is your dad,” Heather said. Peter’s father pushed him away as he attempted to ask James how the car operated.

“I’ll see to it that Peter spends some time watching TV in the living room. Pack his bags, please.
“Peter, I’m in a meeting. James gave Peter money and said, “Go out with your mom for the day.” Peter first accepted his father’s constant busyness. Peter had access to the newest games and toys.

His school friends would occasionally become envious, but Peter refused to boast. In fact, he would let kids use his toys. His friends had no idea that Peter was becoming envious of them. Kieran, one of the friends, would share tales of his time spent with his father.

“Last weekend, we went on a fishing trip, and my dad caught a spotted bass!” Kieran clarified.

Despite his wealth, Peter secretly envied his friends’ strong relationships with their fathers. Peter would be silenced if he attempted to discuss other activities with his father.

“I apologize, friend. At work, I have to maintain my focus. James informed him, “You know, money doesn’t grow on trees.”

James hadn’t prepared anything for Peter’s buddies, who boasted about their Christmas customs and plans as the holiday drew near. Peter decided to write a letter to Santa after becoming irritated.

After discovering Peter’s letter, Heather pondered what he had requested. He already owned every new toy. Heather was devastated when she received the letter. She showed James what Peter had written at his home office.

“James, I think it’s time for you to sort out your priorities. The desire to spend time with you is intense in our son. His letter to Santa is included. Read it, please. As she gave James the letter, Heather remarked, “Perhaps it will make you change in some way.”

James initially didn’t read the letter right immediately because he was still preoccupied with his work. He eventually read the letter after finishing his day’s meetings.

“To Santa, I’m not sure if you recall me. I wrote to you more than a year ago to express how lonely I was at the foster home and how much I needed a father. I sincerely appreciate what you done. In fact, you gave me a new father and mother. I suppose he doesn’t love me back, even though I loved him a lot at initially.

He’s always occupied with something when I try to get together with him. I get games and toys, but all of my buddies do exciting things with their parents. Money is not what I want. I’d like to do things with him. He may not truly want me to be his son, in my opinion. I realize I’m making a lot of demands. “But I want another dad for my Christmas present,” the letter said.

“I’m going to spend a lot more time with you. That’s a commitment.

As James finished reading Peter’s wish, he started crying at his desk. He became aware that he hadn’t really made time to connect with Peter in any way because he had been trying so hard to give him a better life. James was aware that he needed to improve.

He informed his business partner over the phone that he would be taking a month-long leave of absence for personal reasons. Then he purchased three tickets to New York.

James took Heather aside to talk to her after supper that night. “I’ll see to it that Peter spends some time watching TV in the living room. Pack his luggage, you go. “I have three tickets for us to New York,” James muttered.

“My gosh! When are we going to depart? Heather enquired. “First thing in the morning!” James answered. Peter didn’t know the difference when he went to bed that night. The next morning, Peter’s father roused him up.

“You ready to go, buddy?” James enquired.

When Peter saw his mother carrying suitcases at the entrance, he became noticeably perplexed. “Where are we going?” Peter enquired. “We’ll be spending Christmas in the Big Apple, little guy,” said James. Peter hurriedly hopped out of bed and quickly got ready.

Peter was giddy with anticipation. He had never taken a flight before. The three of them went to a number of sites when they got to New York. The Rockefeller ice rink and Christmas tree especially delighted Peter.

James, Heather, and Peter all ate a large Christmas dinner together after treating themselves to a few days in the city. “Hey, friend. Even though I’ve been really busy lately, I’m going to cut back on the long hours. I’m going to spend a lot more time with you. James assured Peter, “That’s a promise.”

As they packed their bags at the conclusion of their journey to New York, Heather chatted with James.

Peter approaches me this morning and inquires as to whether it’s too late to send another letter to Santa. You could always write to Santa, I informed him. As she gives James an envelope, Heather remarks, “He gives me another letter.”

When James reads the letter, a broad smile appears on his face.

“Hello, Santa. Another father is not something I want. I apologize for bothering you. I adore my dad! You probably knew how fantastic this one was, so you didn’t give me another one. I’m grateful for the most wonderful Christmas ever. The letter was read.

James always tried to spend more time with Peter and Heather after that.
