After 1,300 Miles, A Dog’s Search for Home Takes an Unexpected Turn
Missing Dog Travels 1,300 Miles To Learn That Her Old Owner Doesn’t Want Her Anymore
How a cute Pit Bull mix from Florida ended up on the streets of Michigan is a mystery. The cold was making her tremble, and she hoped that someone would notice her. She was rescued and taken to safety by the Humane Society of Midland County.

Blue, the puppy, was happy to be removed from the streets and felt relieved. When the shelter staff discovered that Blue had a microchip, they were ecstatic.
Reaching Out to Blue’s Owner
They dialed the microchip’s registered number, and a woman picked up. When the workers learned that Blue lived in Florida, they were taken aback.
The woman claims that Blue vanished a week ago. How the one-year-old puppy got to Michigan was a mystery to her.
When the shelter staff learned that the woman wanted Blue back, they were overjoyed. As soon as possible, they began searching for a volunteer to drive Blue home.
On social media, the shelter made a request. Hundreds of people were moved by Blue’s story and promised to help her go back to her owner.
Traveling to Florida
The person selected to transport the lost puppy across the nation was Stephanie James.
James and her brother went to the shelter to pick up Blue after she left on vacation. James fell in love with the adorable canine the moment she laid eyes on her for the first time.

After getting into James’ Chevy Blazer, the three of them set out for the Sunshine State.
Blue immediately became attached to them. When the cute dog put her head on her shoulder while they were riding, James melted. The puppy was quite loving. She lavished them with affection and kissed them sweetly.
When they eventually reached the owner’s house after 1,300 miles of trip, the owner’s mother opened the door and greeted them. The owner of Blue, who is 22 years old, wasn’t home.

Blue recognized her home right away, and she was excited to see her owner’s cherished face. The adorable dog began bouncing with happiness as soon as she got home.
They all discussed Blue and attempted to determine how she got to Michigan. According to Blue’s owner and mother, when they weren’t home, they left the puppy in a kennel in the backyard.
She is an extremely intelligent and wiggly puppy. They believe she wandered close to the freeway and was picked up by someone,” James stated.
The Startling Information
Following a lengthy conversation, James was taken aback when Blue’s owner informed her that they ought to return Blue to the shelter in Michigan.
“I can’t commit to the dog because I work full-time and attend school full-time,” she told me. You seem like decent folks. Blue genuinely likes you. James remarked, “You’ve taken good care of her.”
James could not speak. She hoped the shelter personnel had been informed of this by the owner as soon as they got in touch with her.
Blue was taken to the automobile by James and her brother. Blue couldn’t take her eyes from her house as they drove away.
When James saw the doggo’s dejected and perplexed face, he was devastated.

“We told Blue that everything would be alright and that we loved her.”
Blue would be much happier somewhere else, she told herself often. The wisest course of action for the puppy was to return her to Michigan.
She already had four rescue dogs at home, but James wished she could give Blue the home she deserved. She had no doubt that Blue would find a family quickly.
James informed the Humane Society that the owner no longer desired Blue over the phone as they were returning.
The staff at the shelter quickly updated Blue’s well-wishers on social media about her predicament. They were devastated when they learned that the cute puppy had been turned down by her mother.
Blue Discovers The Ideal Permanent Residence
Adoption applications soon flooded the shelter. In hopes of becoming Blue’s everlasting parents and loving her as much as she deserved, many individuals opened their hearts.
Robert Allison, Blue’s new father, hurried to visit her two hours after James and her brother had brought her back to the shelter.
He was searching for a new puppy after his beloved Pit Bull passed away. After hearing Blue’s story, he immediately applied for adoption. When the shelter asked him to meet Blue, he was ecstatic.

After eating his lunch, Allison headed to the shelter. He was eager to meet her. Blue rushed to his arms as soon as she saw him, and they clicked right away.
She jumped on me as soon as I approached. Allison remarked, “She definitely took right to me.”
The same day Blue ended up back at the shelter, he took her to her forever home.

Blue immediately adapted to her new environment and was thrilled to be there. She lavishes her family with kisses every day since she loves them so much.
They were both overjoyed to see each other again when James paid a visit to the adorable dog.

That Blue finally received the enormous love and devotion she had always deserved makes us very happy. Thank you to James, the Humane Society of Midland County, and everyone else who made it possible for Blue to have a happy ending.
