Elon Musk Raises Alarm Over Social Security Fraud—Here’s What He Said
Elon Musk issues major social security warning over ‘widespread fraud taking place’
Since that time, a judge has prevented him from seeing the data held by the Treasury.

Within the realm of social security, Elon Musk has issued a significant warning against the occurrence of “widespread fraud.”
After being appointed to the position of chairman of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), the billionaire has found himself in a position of prominence inside the government of Republican President Donald Trump.
In spite of the fact that it is not legally a government department, the president disclosed that it will serve as an external counselor for federal expenditure. Musk has stated that he will reduce the amount of money spent by the federal government by various billions of dollars.
Concerns have been developing that Musk may be able to access sensitive information such as social security numbers and Medicare benefits payments. This is due to the fact that DOGE was allowed full access to the Treasury payment system last week, which created controversy.

Now, Musk has asserted that extensive fraud is taking place in the payment of “federal entitlements,” which covers a variety of benefits such as social security.
Musk made the following statement on his own social media network, which was formerly known as Twitter: “At this point, I am one hundred percent certain that the magnitude of the fraud in federal entitlements (Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Welfare, Disability, etc.) exceeds the combined sum of every private scam you’ve ever heard by far.” In no way is it even close.”
As stated in a previous tweet, Musk asserted that those who did not have a social security number or “even a temporary ID number” were receiving payments totaling one hundred billion dollars annually.

The CEO of Tesla continued by saying, “When I asked if anyone at Treasury had a ballpark idea for what percentage of that sum is unequivocal and blatant fraud, the consensus in the room was roughly half, which means that $50 billion per year or $1 billion per week!! The situation is completely out of control and needs to be addressed right away.
Musk said in another post that “the social security database is not de-duplicated, which means that it is possible to have the same SSN [social security number] many times over, which further enables MASSIVE FRAUD!!”
“Social security beneficiaries and their families have every reason to be alarmed by Elon Musk’s takeover of the United States Department of Treasury’s payment system, which is responsible for paying Social Security benefits,” said Max Richtman, who is the president and CEO of the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare. Richtman made this statement in an interview with Newsweek.

It is absolutely not possible for senior citizens, their families, and persons with disabilities to put their faith in Trump and Musk with regard to their extremely important federal entitlements or their personal information. We are hopeful that the courts will put a stop to this attempt to use the payment system of the Treasury Department for objectives that are obviously political.
For the time being, an order that was issued by New York Judge Paul A. Engelmayer has prevented Musk from gaining access to the personal financial information of millions of people in the United States.
In response to this action, Musk referred to it as “absolutely insane.”

This Friday, February 14, is the day that the next court hearing is scheduled to take place.
