Girl Demands Single Dad with Crying Baby Be Kicked Out of Café—Karma Brings Them Face-to-Face at a Job Interview
A career-driven woman, focused solely on her professional success, becomes frustrated when a single father with a crying baby disrupts her peace at a café and insists that he be removed. However, fate has other plans, and a year later, she finds herself in an unexpected situation where their roles have completely shifted.
Libby entered the café on a crowded Monday night, ordered a standard coffee, and took a seat with a view of the bustling streets of New York City.
It had been an awful, awful day for her. She was expecting to find some time to unwind before going home to do her yoga meditation and do some more work before bed because of the lengthy meetings and projects with short deadlines.

while a waitress brought her meal, she silently mumbled, “Thank you,” while she looked at her iPad’s day planner. The following day will bring more meetings and work. Nothing unusual.
Setting down her iPad, Libby drank some hot coffee and looked about. A baby with large eyes and apple puree all over his mouth was staring at her from the table next to her when she gave it a horrible gaze.
Libby thought the good-looking man was a single father because he was on his phone and his baby was laughing at a stranger. Why else would he be in a café at 7 p.m., dressed in formal attire, feeding a child, with his office bag next to him?
“Disgusting!” Before turning away, Libby murmured something beneath her breath.
Libby detested infants. She hated their desire for affection and their grumpiness. The baby she called nasty, however, seemed to adore her.
Everybody has a tale to share. Before you know someone’s story, you cannot pass judgment on them.
The baby started to wail as Libby turned away, and his tears cascaded down his face.

She thought angrily, “What a piece of mess!”
A few seconds later, Libby looked at the table and was annoyed to see that the baby’s father was still talking on the phone. The last thing she needed to hear after a hard day at work was the baby’s cries.
“Excuse me, sir!” From her table, she yelled out to the man. “Tell your infant to keep quiet! He’s sobbing as though he won’t live another day.
Before completing the call while rocking his infant at the same time, the man looked around and apologized in a whisper. Nothing was altered. When the infant continued to wail, Libby became so irate that she phoned the waitress.
“This is the very least you could do for me as I frequently visit this place. Move them to another table, please, so I won’t have to listen to that stubborn baby’s cries! Or just throw them out! Just get them out of my line of sight, please!”
An apologetic “Ma’am,” the waitress said. “As you can see, the only available tables are on the terrace, which might be too cold for the infant, as every table inside is presently occupied. I will talk to them.”
Libby saw the man hang up the phone after the waitress came over to his table and spoke to him.
“Well, if she has a problem, she should be the one to move,” Libby heard the man say throughout the conversation. “It’s not even my fault, but I apologize for the inconvenience.”

When Libby heard that, she became enraged and lost control. She approached the man at his table and commanded him to leave. Libby became even more infuriated when the sobbing toddler tossed some apple puree on her clothing.
“Jason, boy!” the man exclaimed. “That is incorrect. “Slow down!”
The man said, “Hey, look, I’m sorry about that,” to Libby. “I can make it up to you, and—”
Libby said, “That’s ridiculous!” Of the child and of you! She glared at the man and the waitress as she hurried out of the café, declaring, “I’m done with this place.”
In the hopes of never seeing that father and his child again, Libby never went back to the café. She hated him just as much as she hated that infant.
After a year passed, Libby discovered a charming man at her workplace. Despite being only a contract worker, Trevor was all the qualities Libby had ever desired in a man: charming, courteous, and self-assured. She fell more deeply in love with him once he did, and she soon discovered she was expecting his kid.
Libby told her parents she was pregnant when her baby bump appeared, but the older pair didn’t like it.
Her father remarked sourly, “We’d prefer that you remain single for the remainder of your life.” “I don’t want that man to be involved with you or our family, Lib.”
Her mother said, “Your father is right, hun,” “You are not worthy of him. Our class isn’t with him, and the infant… You have the option to keep it. We’ll look into how we can support you in raising your child.
Libby was taken aback. The exact reverse of what she had anticipated—her parents’ happiness—occurred. Both of them were fired from their jobs at her father’s company because Libby was determined to marry Trevor, and her parents also cut her off from the will.
After a few months, Libby was unable to pay her rent and moved into Trevor’s studio apartment. Trevor provided for her and their child at the time by working for a tiny private company.

When God’s small gift entered Libby and Trevor’s lives months later, they made the decision to love her unconditionally in spite of their difficulties. Libby began looking for work, while Trevor began working two jobs.
She had to bring baby Eve with her when she was called in for an interview at an editorial firm one day.
Since she was a child, Libby had a passion for writing. She was therefore quite eager for the interview. But because she was the only one with a kid, the other applicants made fun of her as she got closer to the interview room.
The woman outside the interview room said to her, “I’m afraid you won’t be able to carry her inside,” as her name was called.
“I’m sorry,” said Libby. “She will bother other people if I leave her alone. Please comprehend.
With a groan, the wife finally gave her permission.
Libby entered the room without knowing what was in store for her. She froze in disbelief at the interviewer’s face. He was the same man to whom she had shown rudeness months before.
“Do I know you?” He requested Libby to sit down, raising an eyebrow. “You seem familiar.”
“Oh well,” Libby uttered timidly. “We met at the café, and your baby was crying…”

“Ah!” he grinned. “So, we are acquainted. Please sit down. Additionally, I trust you are aware that infants are not allowed at work.
Eve began to cry before Libby could speak. She simply refused to stop.
Libby felt ashamed.
“Oh god, I apologize so much. It’s just—” I can’t leave Eve home alone.”
He said, “May I?”
Confused, she asked, “What?”

“May I take her in my arms for a second? I believe I can calm her down.”
There was nothing else Libby could do, so she nodded. She gave the man Eve, and when he started playing with her, the baby girl stopped weeping.
Libby remarked, “She seems to like you,” “That’s not like her!”
“I love babies,” the man declared. “By the way, my name is Jonathan. In addition to serving as the director of the company, I am a single father to my little son. Right now, he’s with my sister. I dislike putting children in the care of strangers.
Libby was crying uncontrollably. “I’m at a loss for words, but I can’t leave Eve alone. I don’t think I’ll be the greatest person for this job because I’m not in the best financial situation and I can’t bring her to work. I apologize.

“No, it’s okay. I want to do an interview with you. We don’t wish to lose a significant applicant. Please.
After interviewing Libby, Jonathan decided to hire her. As long as it didn’t conflict with her employment, he also let Libby to bring Eve to work.
“I’m a father, too, and I understand,” he replied. Not to mention, Mrs. Walsh, at the end of the day, we’re all human. I suppose it would be wonderful to have a small staff member with us.
Libby was quite appreciative to Jonathan. In addition to landing a job that day, she realized life was about more than simply work.

The majority of the company’s duties were handled by Jonathan, a single father, and she had witnessed his amazing parenting skills. He was raising a child alone, but he was also trying his hardest for his business and other people. He told Libby that the most important thing is to be human.
What does this narrative teach us?
Everybody has a tale to share. Before you know someone’s story, you cannot pass judgment on them. Months later, when she met the actual Jonathan—the nice guy who employed her and understood her predicament—Libby realized how much she hated Jonathan and his sobbing infant.
Life is a circle. You get what you give. The fact that Eve was crying made Libby understand how foolish it was of her to hate Jonathan’s child.
