Vivian Wilson, Elon Musk’s Daughter, Graces New Magazine Cover at 20

Elon Musk’s Trans Daughter, 20-Year-Old Vivian Wilson, Appears on New Magazine Cover

After making a daring public debut, the daughter of one of the most influential people in the world has the internet buzzing.

On her own terms, Vivian Jenna Wilson is taking center stage. Elon Musk’s 20-year-old trans daughter made her modeling debut by making a dramatic appearance on Teen Vogue’s cover.

Her first-ever cover shoot is causing a stir on the internet. Wearing a suit underneath a sky-blue top, Vivian posed confidently, her eyes meeting the camera’s. Her arrival marked the beginning of a new phase that was focused on independence and self-identity.

The image has sparked a flurry of emotions and is currently doing the rounds on social media. “She has such gorgeous hair ughhh!!!!! literal goals,” a fan wrote in comment, complimenting Vivian’s beautiful locks. “GET HER INTO MODELING,” was written by another, who was obviously impressed by her presence and grace.

Her resemblance to her well-known father was noted by some. “She has Elon’s eyes and nose.” Another replied, “No shade because I am supportive of her but I think she looks exactly like her father.” “Wow, they look so much alike,” said another.

Vivian resembled her mother, according to others. A commenter said, “She looks like her gorgeous mother.” One more person said, “She looks so much like her mom.”

Vivian, who officially changed her name and publicly separated from Elon in 2022, had remained quiet up until this point. She talked about the moment she came out as transgender in her Teen Vogue interview. By the time clarity arrived, it was late, at about 11:00 p.m.

“I know for a fact I am trans,” she remembered she thought. She had held that reality for months. However, she reached a breaking point as her personal troubles increased and puberty progressed.

“I was constantly having mental breakdowns in the middle of class,” Vivian said. “I was reluctant to wake up. I had no desire to do anything. All I wanted was to rot.

The strain became intolerable. She was afraid that remaining silent would set her on a terrible course. She then took a step. By sharing her truth on her Instagram story, she came out in public. “‘I’m trans,’ I said. She remembered, “She/her pronouns.”

She informed her mother two days later. She claims that she would now approach the situation differently. “She deserves to be the first one to know.” Even though it was a challenging start, it was a turning point.

Vivian’s parents have differing opinions about her coming out. Her mother had already noticed a change; she was a writer of mystical romance fiction. She immediately provided assistance after Vivian informed her, dismissing any surprise with a casual, “Yes, honey. Alright.

Vivian attributes her shift to her mother’s unwavering support. She claims that despite the occasional stress, her mother has supported her college choices and her decision to become public. In the end, according to Vivian, her mother values her freedom.

She has a far more strained relationship with her father, Elon. They hadn’t communicated for months when she started her transition.

The fact that she had to officially ask for his approval in order to receive hormone therapy and testosterone blockers, however, brought to light the psychological and practical difficulties of negotiating her identity in a broken family.

Publicly, Vivian and her father’s growing distance from one another is evident. In an interview with NBC News in July 2024, Vivian characterized Elon as a father who is unsupportive and absent. Despite having joint custody, she said he was rarely there when she was growing up and frequently left caring to her mother or hired assistance.

She remembered being chastised for being queer or feminine while he was around. After Elon publicly denied her gender identity, the tension increased even further.

He called Vivian “not a girl,” described her as figuratively “dead,” and stated in an interview and social media post that he had been “tricked” into approving her gender-affirming surgical treatment when she was sixteen.

Vivian expressly refuted those assertions. According to her, Elon wasn’t duped; he only paused before knowingly agreeing. Elon probably thought she wouldn’t resist, she claimed. “I think he was under the assumption that I wasn’t going to say anything and I would just let this go unchallenged,” she stated to NBC. “Which I’m not going to do.”

Even though Vivian and her father no longer have a relationship, she still finds support in her relationship with her mother, Justine Musk. Born and raised in southern Ontario, Canada, Justine attended Queen’s University to study English literature before relocating to Australia and Japan.

She finally made California her home, and she currently resides in Los Angeles with her dogs and kids. Her relationship with Elon has long been well-known.

Justine characterized their relationship as distant in an interview conducted in 2010. She claimed that the only way she could communicate with Elon about parenting was through his aide.

She did not, however, regret their time together. She mentioned that she had resolved her resentment with Elon for making her feel unworthy and against herself for holding onto what she referred to as a “fairy tale.”

Despite the resentment of their breakup, she claimed she appreciated the guy he is and acknowledged his intelligence and vision as she went on with her life.

Shortly after Elon Musk filed, their divorce was formally finalized in 2008. In an honest piece, Justine detailed the irony and cliche of the scenario, pointing out that he became engaged to British actress Talulah Riley within weeks.

Their tale started much earlier. Justine described meeting Elon when she was eighteen and he was nineteen in a 2017 TED Talk. He persisted in his pursuit of her, frequently calling while classical music was playing. She turned down his advances at first, but in the end, the two of them shared a Bay Area apartment with three other people.

Justine is still focused on her kids nowadays. Additionally, her mother’s presence seems to stay consistent in the background as Vivian enters the public eye, providing encouragement as her daughter forges her own path.
