In the town of Saucier, on Sunday afternoon, the young girl Gracelyn Vick vanished without a visible trace.
At approximately midday, she reportedly went outdoors to play in the yard, but she never returned. This information comes from her relatives.

As the hours went by without any indication of her whereabouts, her relatives made a call to the authorities.
An urgent search operation was initiated by the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office in Mississippi, and it lasted for nearly six hours.
Gracelynn was located with the assistance of surrounding law enforcement agencies, Gulf Coast Search & Rescue, helicopters, drones, and about forty local volunteers who joined the search for her.
Unfortunately, her death was discovered later that day next to the property that belonged to the family.
There have been no arrests made.
The acreage belonging to the family was blocked off by the deputies, and it had a swing set as well as locations where the family kept their livestock. Professionals who work at crime scenes spend a significant amount of time recording the scene and collecting evidence long into the evening.
The body of Gracelyn was removed from the property at roughly eight o’clock in the evening, as reported by WLOX.
In response to one of the several allegations that have been floating online about the probe, Harrison County Sheriff Matt Haley addressed the issue on Monday.
An individual from the Vick family has stated that the body of Gracelynn Vick, who was six years old, was found close to her residence in Saucier.
In the case, no one has been arrested as of yet, and it is too soon to establish whether or not there was any kind of criminal activity involved, according to Haley. “This is an investigation that is still ongoing.”
According to The Clarion-Ledger, an autopsy is scheduled to take place on Monday at the state crime lab in Biloxi in order to gain a better understanding of the circumstances surrounding Gracelyn’s passed away.
The family of Gracelynn Vick, who is in mourning following her untimely death, has received an outpouring of support primarily through social media.

Counselors who specialize in grief counseling have been brought in to Saucier Elementary School in order to assist pupils in coping with the devastating loss of their young classmate.
According to the Sun Herald, Gracelynn is the third child that her mother, Vicky Lynn (Wedgeworth) Hutcherson, has lost in the past few years. The anguish that she is experiencing is nearly too much for her to handle.
A terrible accident that occurred on United States Route 49 in March of 2024 claimed the life of Gracelynn’s stepsister, Victoria Hutcherson, who was just 13 years old at the time.
According to the authorities, she was a passenger in a minivan that was attempting to cross four lanes of traffic when it collided with a dump truck.
The memories that her family has of Victoria, who was in the eighth grade at West Wortham Elementary School, include her being a loving and protective older sister who treasured her younger siblings.
In addition, sorrow hit the family once more in July of 2021 when Gracelynn’s brother, Larry Hart, who was 18 years old at the time of his death, passed away due to a medical problem, as stated in his obituary.
