Neil Young Slams Trump and Musk in Scathing New Protest Anthem “Let’s Roll Again”
Musical protest advocate Neil Young voiced his political stance once more by reviving his historic use of music to speak against injustice. During his Los Angeles benefit show Young presented his new critical song “Let’s Roll Again” which aggressively targeted Donald Trump and Elon Musk.
The song delivers critical observations as it promotes ethical industrial practices combined with honest political behavior. Ever since the 1960s Young has persistently kept up a fearless approach to social and political matters while he performed with vocal fire and purposeful lyrics.
As part of “Let’s Roll Again” he demands that Ford, GM and Chrysler resume their position as leaders of innovation responsibility. “Come on Ford, come on GM. Young uses his lyrics to challenge Chrysler to get back on track as heidiots that he believes have been corrupted by industry greed and corruption.
Young throws a scathing criticism at black Tesla owners when he sings “If you’re a fascist then get a Tesla.” Democrats need to experience personal freedom through an unbridled taste.
The statement targets Musk directly since he stretches his influence through political statements combined with union restrictions and wide-reaching employee reductions at Tesla and X (original Twitter platform).
These lyrics criticize Tesla during its period of reported 70% profit reduction which sent wave after wave of shock throughout the agency and social critics. Musical communities within rock and punk have continually released songs targeting Trump and Musk through numerous tracks.
Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day declaimed “I am not with the MAGA agenda” during a stage performance at Coachella while modifying the lyrics of his famous song “American Idiot” thereby generating a clear anti-agenda message. During a concert Jack White replaced the lyrics of “Corporation” to deliver the critical lines “I was thinking about becoming an oligarch, who’s with me?”
Through multiple public statements Neil Young has named Trump a national disgrace to his homeland. As a Canadian dual citizen who supports American democratic ideas Young made his home in the United States after many years.
During his recent activism he participated in California protests carrying a “Hands Off Canada” sign alongside performing at campaigns for Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez under “Fighting Oligarchy”.
The song “Let’s Roll Again” gains power beyond its poetic delivery because of the influential position Young carries.
