Proud Grandpa Alan Jackson Celebrates Birth Of New Grandson
Alan Jackson, a country music icon, is resuming his position as a grandfather with pride.
Since Alan’s oldest daughter, Mattie Jackson, recently gave birth to her first child with her husband, Connor Smith, his family is enjoying a happy occasion.
Two grandsons have been born to Alan and his wife, Denise.
In December 2022, shortly before their 43rd wedding anniversary, they became grandparents for the first time.
At that time, Ali, their middle daughter, and her husband, Sam Bradshaw, welcomed Jackson Alvie Bradshaw, a newborn boy.
Back then, there was a lot of love and happiness in the family, and that happiness persisted for the following year.
Mattie married Connor in a stunning beach wedding in May 2023.
They were unaware at the moment that there would soon be more positive news.
Mattie and Connor announced their pregnancy in February 2024: they were expecting a boy.
With grateful and enthusiastic hearts, they shared the news.
As Mattie put it last year, “I feel like I said so many times that 2023 topped the charts with more joy and celebration and redemption than any yet.”
“Well, I think 2024 might challenge it rather thoroughly.
We are ecstatic to announce that Baby Boy Smith will be arriving in June!”
Wesley Alan Smith, their newborn son, was delivered on June 20, one day after Mattie’s own birthday, exactly as planned.
For her, that added even greater significance to the moment.
A week later, Mattie sent a touching message introducing her baby son:
“The best birthday present I could have ever hoped for was Wesley Alan Smith, who joined our small family on June 20th,” she said.
Being selected by God to be your mother is the highest honor in life.
There is no greater delight than witnessing your father already love and guard you.
Connor’s grandfather was honored with the name “Wesley,” while Mattie’s father, Alan Jackson, was honored with the name “Alan.”
“Baby boy, you have my undying love and prayers,” Mattie added.
“You have a lot of life ahead of you if you’re anything like both of your namesakes, @officialalanjackson and Connor’s grandfather.”
Normally, Alan Jackson keeps his private life private, but on this occasion, he made his happiness public.
He shared a picture of himself and Denise standing next to Mattie in her hospital room on social media, along with a heartfelt message:
Wesley Alan Smith, our grandchild, has arrived, and Denise and I are overjoyed to share the news.
On June 20, 2024, proud parents @MattieJackson and Connor Smith welcomed Wes into the world.
Fans affectionately refer to Alan as “Grandpa AJ,” and he appeared thrilled to be taking on the role at the age of 65.
It’s obvious that family is very important to him because he now has two grandsons.
