Dolly Parton’s Sister Freida Clears the Air About the Singer’s Illness

Previously, the singer had sent a message on social media in which she requested that her followers pray for her renowned younger sister.

Due to the message, fans became concerned, as they were concerned that the country star was suffering from a major illness.

A statement has been made by Freida Parton, Dolly Parton’s sister, regarding the state of her sister’s health.

On Tuesday, September 7, the singer posted a message on Facebook requesting prayers for Dolly, whom she stated has not “been feeling her best lately.”

At the beginning of a later post that Freida made on Wednesday, October 8, she stated, “I want to clear something up.” “I didn’t mean to scare anyone or make it sound so serious when asking for prayers for Dolly.”

“She’s been a little under the weather, and I simply asked for prayers because I believe so strongly in the power of prayer,” she went to explain.

“There was nothing more than a younger sister pleading for prayers for her older sister,” the older sister said. I am grateful to each of you for helping her. It is undeniable that your love makes a difference.

In a previous message, Freida revealed that she had been “up all night praying” for Dolly till the early hours of the morning. “As many of you are aware, she has not been feeling very well as of late.

“I have been led to ask all of the world’s people who love her to be prayer warriors and pray with me,” she wrote. “I have a deep and abiding faith in the efficacy of prayer.”

Towards the end of her letter, Freida stated that Dolly was loved and powerful, and that she believed in her heart that the “Jolene” singer will be OK.

Immediately following Dolly’s decision to delay her residency in Las Vegas by almost a year, Freida has made a request for prayers.

On Sunday, September 28, she divulged the information over several social media platforms. “As many of you know, I’ve been dealing with some health challenges, and my doctors tell me that I must have a few procedures,” Dolly said in response.

“As I joked with them, it must be time for my 100,000-mile check-up, although it’s not the usual trip to see my plastic surgeon!” She made a remark.

Beginning in December of this year, the residency was supposed to take place at The Colosseum. The dates have been moved to September of the following year.
