‘I Need 2 Pizzas’ 911 Gets Call from Scared Woman, Operator Realizes She’s in Trouble

After Jane’s husband was laid off from his job, they began a relationship that was violent to both of them. As soon as she became aware that her life and the life of her stepdaughter might be in danger, she summoned up the strength to make a phone call to order pizza, which would forever alter the course of their lives.
Within the 911 call centre, Denise was employed as a responder. She had always wished that she might follow in her father’s footsteps and become a police officer, serving and protecting the community. Her father had been a police officer.

Because of her impairment, she was never able to complete the physical training courses at the academy, despite the fact that she had initially desired to work for the police department. As a result of an automobile accident that occurred a few years ago, Denise had both of her legs amputated.
Having gone through that, she was quite confident that her goal would never be realised. On the other hand, she was finally able to find her place in the police after her father persuaded her to try out the 911 emergency response team.

The job that Denise had was extremely hard, and it was not for those who were easily discouraged. The problems that she had to cope with on a daily basis were extremely distressing. Denise, on the other hand, was convinced that she was destined to work in this field and enjoyed every moment of her employment.

When Denise was at work one day, she got a strange phone call. Due to the nature of her line of work, she was accustomed to receiving unsolicited phone calls every other day. Additionally, at first glance, it appeared that this particular case was exactly that. Although it was not the first time that someone had called to place an order for pizza, this particular instance was very unusual.

How are you? My name is Jane. Could it be… As soon as possible, would it be feasible for me to acquire two pizzas? I beg you, I’m counting on you!” Jane said the words in a terrified whisper.
“I need to apologise, ma’am, but I think you have the wrong number.” “Goodbye,” Denise said as she finished her sentence.

It’s not! I beg you, please do not end the call! In a distressed tone, Jane said.

“Ma’am, if this is a prank, I promise you—” Denise began before Jane joined in on the conversation.
“Are you in danger?”
I did not make a mistake, that is for sure. This is the pizza place, and I am in serious need of two pizzas from you,” Jane remarked. The sound of her sniffles and the distress in her voice gave Denise the impression that she had been crying. Suddenly, she started to give the circumstance some more consideration.
Then, I’m good to go. In my gut, I have a feeling that you are not genuinely phoning to place an order for pizza. You are going to be the subject of a few queries from me. Simply respond with a yes or a no. Is that accurate? “I am calm,” Denise remarked.

“Yes,” it was Jane’s response.

“Are you in danger?” Asking was Denise.

“Yes,” Jane responded to us.
“Don’t be concern. Your IP address is currently being tracked by me. Are there any other people in the room with you?” When Denise asked the question, she was furiously typing on the computer in an attempt to locate the IP address.
It is true. Do it as quickly as possible. Jane stated, “Both my daughter and I are dying of hunger.”

So, it appears that both you and your daughter are in jeopardy. Is this a case that would be considered domestic?” Denise inquired while opening her notepad and making some notes of her own.

“Yes. P—Please deliver the pizza as soon as possible,” Jane responded back.

“All right. Maintain your composure, Jane. So, it’s a male, right? Asking was Denise.

“Yes,” Jane responded.
Could he be armed? Is he alone himself? Asking was Denise.

Who are you exchanging words with? The individual yelled out, “Hang up!”
The words “Yes… And yes… Please, we are hungry” were spoken by Jane in a low voice.

“That’s fine. Stay strong and don’t give up, Jane. Your location is in our possession, and we are almost finished. Does your home have a door that leads to the backyard? Asking was Denise.

Jane stated, “No, it’s just the front door,” Denise was startled when she suddenly became aware of a man ranting on the phone.

Who are you exchanging words with? The individual yelled out, “Hang up!”

There was a harsh knock that sounded over the phone, and then it shut off. Jane said, “I was just getting pizza for—” before the phone stopped off.

What’s up? A Jane? Do you still happen to be there, Jane? Denise inquired, but the phone had suddenly fallen to the ground.

The good news is that Denise had already discovered their address and had a group of people on their way to check on Jane. The team from the brigade arrived at the residence not long after Jane had already disconnected the phone. In addition, they arrived almost at the last possible moment.

When they found Jane’s husband intoxicated, they knocked the door down. While everything was going on, Jane and her kid were hiding in the next room, crying their hearts out. The location was a complete mess, with pizza boxes and beer bottles strewn about everywhere.

Jane and her kid were taken to the police station by the brigade, which immediately detained Jane’s husband and brought them there. Jane made it a point to remain aware of the requirements of her profession and to avoid becoming overly attached to it.

However, there was something about this case that compelled her to look into it further. The only thing that she was concerned about was whether or not Jane and her daughter were safe.

A request was made by Jane to talk with Denise, with the expectation that she would be able to express her gratitude to Denise in person. Through the efforts of one of Denise’s detective colleagues who was working on Jane’s case, Denise was able to set up a meeting with Jane.
Over lunch, Jane and Denise got together. Matilda, Jane’s daughter, accompanied her throughout her visit. The assistance that Denise provided was greatly appreciated by both Jane and Matilda. Just the fact that they were both safe was enough to make Denise happy.
Jane went on to explain that her husband’s relationship with her had not always been like that. The couple had tied the knot a number of years ago. When Jane and her husband got married, Matilda became her own daughter. Matilda was the daughter of Jane’s husband. Prior to his descent into a dictator in their household, Denise discovered that he was a rather normal person.

On the other hand, after he was fired from his work, he began drinking heavily, and his behaviour completely shifted. Initially, he did not treat Jane and Matilda in a proper manner. During the time that things were at their worst, Jane had come to the realisation that Matilda was her own kid, and she was unable to simply walk away from the connection.
A week ago, he was at the grocery store when he witnessed Jane having a conversation with a man. He went utterly insane. Jane and Matilda were confined inside the house, and he did not allow them to leave.
The narrative that Jane shared had a profound impact on Denise, and she vowed to assist in any way that she could. In the end, she was not required to do so. Jane’s husband was taken into custody, and the court consequently deprived him the ability to be a father. In addition to loving Matilda as if she were her own, Jane gained sole custody of her.
They went to treatment together, and after a couple of months, with the assistance of their new friend Denise, they were able to put their lives back together again. Jane and Matilda were able to do this.
