Couple Wanted to Have a Baby for 6 Years Yet When the Woman Got Pregnant the Man Ran Away

A woman tried for a child for six years before becoming pregnant. She was thrilled to tell her partner that it was his 30th birthday, but she was left stunned by his surprising response.

The 26-year-old woman revealed that she had been dating her partner for ten years and that they both intended to have a child.

The internet came together to criticise her boyfriend after seeing her Reddit post. Their suspicions were expressed in the comments section, and a month later, the woman gave other Redditors an update on what transpired after she confronted him.

The Original Poster (OP) had been feeling under the weather for a few days, but she was unable to visit her doctor because of her hectic work schedule at the office. Finally, on her boyfriend’s birthday morning, she showed up for her doctor’s appointment.

She was thinking about her boyfriend’s birthday celebration when she arrived at the doctor’s office on time. She was informed that she was pregnant by the doctor after he had taken her vital signs and asked some questions.

She was overjoyed to hear the good news because she had been trying for a child for the previous six years. Keeping it to herself until she got home, she reasoned that it would be the ideal gift for her partner.

After the doctor’s appointment, she got home to find a few friends had already arrived. Her partner was in the corner talking with his friend when she looked around the room.

Swiftly crossing the room, she requested if they might have a private conversation. She pulled at his sleeve, gesturing that she had something vital to say, but he ignored her.

The boyfriend of OP requested that she wait five minutes as he wrapped up his conversation with his friend. However, OP couldn’t wait to tell him about the pregnancy and did so in front of everyone because she was so excited to tell him.

She reported what transpired next, “He got extremely mad and started yelling in my face about how I was trying to ruin his day and that today was supposed to be about him and not me.”

To OP, his response was incomprehensible. She thought he would be just as excited as she was, but it appeared he was preoccupied with other thoughts. He sent out a message telling everyone else not to attend the party and urged the visitors to leave.

After her lover stormed out of the house and never came back, the woman shared her account on Reddit. She told her mother she might have waited to tell her mother about the incident until after his birthday. Meanwhile, a Redditor cautioned, “[H]is reaction was the wrong one,” after reading the original poster’s post. Hurry. enormous warning sign.”

The woman updated her viewers on Reddit with another post a month later. She disclosed that 10 days following the incident, her lover went back home.

She found out he had been looking for a method to break up with her for some time when she sat him down and discussed their relationship. He wanted to end the relationship since he was seeing another woman.

OP was shocked to hear his statement, but what shocked her even more was that her partner was willing to give her anything in exchange for her agreeing to abort their child. She remembered, “I said no. I told him that, although he might not want to be involved in my child’s life, I would not be getting rid of my child.”

He allowed her two weeks to gather her possessions and look for another place to live after hearing her replies. She was fortunate enough to move in with a coworker who was looking for a roommate in a different state.

After reading the update, a lot of Redditors swarmed the comments area with inquiries. “He says he is going to sign away his parental rights when the baby is born and is a massive idiot so he doesn’t realise that he will still have to pay child support once i get all my paperwork together and file,” the original poster said in response to a question about whether her boyfriend would pay child support.

The individual also disclosed that her partner had no desire to tie the knot since, in his words, “marriage was something people needed to do to prove their love.” She disclosed that he had prevented her from going to college as it was several hours away from their home.

She also acknowledged that the experience had made her realise that, rather than being a “doormat” for others to walk on, she needed to stand up for herself, but the realisation didn’t sit well with many around her. She went on to say, “Some people in my life have said that i’ve changed from the “sweet innocent” person they knew before this whole stupid thing happened.”

The majority of Redditors felt that her partner was at blame and sympathized with the poster. They believed he didn’t need to act as though he desired a kid with her.
