Husband Leaves Wife & Child for Younger Woman, Years Later Daughter Becomes His Boss
In order to begin a new life with his young mistress, William leaves behind his wife and daughter. Years later, however, things take a turn for the worse when William least expects it, and he finds himself face to face with his adult daughter.
William saw his wife staring at him nervously, and he felt a twinge of remorse. He paused to think about his choice. If Linda found out he had a lover, he knew she would be crushed.
After 20 years of marriage and raising their daughter, 17, Linda and William had led a contented life in the house Linda had inherited from her parents. They also launched a beef jerky company a year ago, but it failed to turn a profit, so William’s work was their only source of income.

“What is it that you wanted to discuss, William?” The silence was broken by Linda.
“I’m seeing someone else, Linda,” William said candidly. “I didn’t want us to see this day, but I-I couldn’t help it.”
“What do you mean?” Linda’s expression darkened. You…do you know another woman? Please respond to what I’m asking for.”
William gave a headshake. “I can’t explain it, but I love her,” he replied. “She’s young, different, and we just clicked.”
“Do you even hear yourself, William?!” Linda lost it. “We’ve been married for 20 years, we have a daughter, and now—” Linda’s phone beeped, interrupting her.
She said, keeping her cool, “Ye-Yes?” but it didn’t take long for her to lose it. She had received a call from a court agent alerting them about the impending seizure of their home. They had mortgaged their home and taken out a loan for the dried meat company. William was expected to pay the loan back. She was unaware that the payments were past due.

William, what’s your justification for not paying back the loan? When you live your fantasies with your mistress, are you going to abandon me and our daughter to live on the streets?” She hung up and burst out. “They require $80,000! How will we obtain the money?”
“Linda, I-I…couldn’t save enough for those payments…” William knew he was to fault for all of this, so he began to make excuses. Linda had had enough of her lazy husband. “OUT!” was her exclamation. “Get the hell out of my house!”
The loud honking of the trucks brought him back to reality. At the signal light, William remained motionless. He was engrossed in his thoughts and failed to notice that it had become crimson once more. Although William left his wife and daughter six years ago, he did not lead the life he had hoped for.
Rather, he led a miserable life, losing both his new family and his work. He’d even gone on a drinking spree to divert his attention from his setback. Now, he was on his way to a job interview, hoping to get his life back.

Anxiously, he sat outside the interview room. He had submitted an application to work at a plant that made beef jerky. Even though it had been unsuccessful, he believed that his prior experience would help. When his number was called, he stepped inside, and lucky for him, he got hired.
William started off as an operator for packaging. He was working hard on labelling the boxes on his third day of work when Mr. Dunn, his manager, came up to him.
Mr. Dunn smiled and nudged William, who was perplexed. “If you don’t want to be stuck in the same role, William, you gotta impress our CEO today,” he said.
“You didn’t know?” Mr. Dunn went on, seeing his look of confusion. “She’s coming here for an inspection!”

William showed no interest. With grace, he excused himself and returned to his work. However, he was soon sidetracked by a murmur of voices, and William looked up towards the door where Mr Dunn was greeting the CEO.
When William realised the CEO was his daughter, his mouth fell open.
“Isabelle?” he exclaimed as she drew near.
“Dad?” she asked with assurance. “It’s been a long time, right?”
“How? He yelled, “How did you become a CEO?”
“So you’re more concerned about my material success than how I’m doing?” she quipped. “Avoid being sidetracked by this personal angle. You need to be doing your work, and I’m here to conduct an inspection. And sure,” she said, turning to leave. “Please meet me in my office after lunch.”

That afternoon, William went to her workplace. She said, “Come on in!” as he entered and took a nervous seat across from her.
Breaking the quiet, she asked, “You’re not going to ask what you wanted to know back at the factory?” “Well, Dad, it wasn’t simple. We were on the streets when you left. From the sale of our seized house, we received only thirty percent of the proceeds. We appreciate you not trying to pay back the loan!
“Mom did not want me to forgo my education, so she gave me her last bit of cash. Then one day Aunt Georgina called. Mom said, “I had to move out and live with her, far away from me.” Isabelle stopped and thought back to one of her hardest times. “Mom’s life was in danger…”
Half a decade prior…
Isabelle’s phone rang while she sat outside the college admissions office, double-checking her application materials.
“Hey, Aunt Georgina, what’s up?” Between her right ear and her shoulder, Isabelle gripped her phone.

Georgina said, her voice anxious. “It’s about your Mom, honey,” “She experienced heart attack symptoms this afternoon. Since the procedure is not yet necessary, I can provide for her financially. However, the physicians stated that it is a coronary heart disease and that they would need to perform the over $100,000 surgery if she had another heart attack.”
As Isbaelle hung up, her heart raced. Although Linda was doing well for the time being, the procedure might be necessary at any point. She was aware that if her application materials were accepted, she would have to pay for school. However, if she left the college, she could keep that money and utilise it for her mother’s medical care.
Isabelle remembered the beef jerky company her dad owned. She could try it in an effort to increase her income. She would, however, require the ancient cookware her parents had stashed in their seized house for it.
Isabelle went back to her friend’s house, where she was spending a night or two. She looked for reasonably priced apartments and a used pickup truck to transport supplies for her company. She went to a garage the following day.
Thankfully, the garage owner that Isabelle inquired did indeed sell used pickup trucks. It wasn’t nearly as horrible as she had thought when she purchased the one she could afford. At first, it creaked, but once the mechanic fixed it, it was operational. After gathering her belongings from her friend’s place, she took a car to the studio apartment that she had noticed online.

Isabelle signed the rental agreement and paid the first month’s rent in advance, even though the area was smaller than what she had seen in the images. She parked her pickup vehicle across from her parents’ old house that evening. But when she got closer to the front door, making sure no one was looking, she saw a large rusted lock hanging from it. There was no back entrance, and she was missing the key.
Isabelle’s eyes slid to the dormer window on the slanted side of the roof. Linda had been pestering William to mend the broken window pane, but he had been putting it off. Isabelle thought of something.
She parked her pickup vehicle outside the window on the first level, then ascended the pipe that ran parallel to the window in the dormer. She went through the dormer window into the attic and turned on the torch on her phone. The room was full of cobwebs and dust, and the lights had given out.
A box in a corner that said “KITCHEN” caught Isabelle’s attention. She located the utensils Linda used to make the jerky and pulled off its tape. She then discovered another box containing an industrial oven and Linda’s cooking books. She went downstairs with the two cartons and used the first-floor window to load them into her pickup truck.
To ensure that no one would know she was there, Isabelle shuttered the window. She drove to the abandoned house a few blocks from her studio apartment after exiting the property through the dormer window. Her studio was too small, and she needed more money to rent a space, so she set up her production space there.
She checked to make sure no one was observing her as she pulled over next to the abandoned house. She then made her way quickly to the backyard, but there was a small latch on the entrance. After removing her hairpin and selecting the lock, Isabelle heard a click!

The door opened with a squeak. After moving everything to the basement, Isabelle organised a little workspace. But she had to wait till the lighting was fixed. Neither during the day nor in the dark could she cook. She wished to avoid being discovered trespassing.
A few days went by. At first, Isabelle made the jerky according to her mother’s recipe, but it was terrible. There was a problem. She wanted her beef jerky to taste different, so she experimented with the marinade recipe. Unlike her parents, Isabelle did not want to limit herself by making a product that would be sold solely to people she knew. She planned to sell it to major US retail chains as well as the entire state.
“Oh my God! “This is it!” she cried after sampling a new batch. It was the product she had been waiting for. But there was still a lot of work to be done.
For the next month, Isabelle sent samples, cold-emailed big-name retailers, and refined her sales pitch. At last, a reply was received.
Regarding: Proposed Dried-Meat Product
Greetings, Isabelle
I trust this email finds you in good health. I appreciate your recent suggestion. We’ve given it a lot of thought, and we think our customers will love your dry beef beer snack. We’d want to test out your samples.
Isabelle had read everything she needed to. She responded quickly, and a week later, she and the retail company’s food inspection staff were seated in the office. She had fulfilled their request and sent all 1000 packages that they had requested.
After sampling Isabelle’s product, which was passed around the table, Chris, the manager, instructed her to wait outside. “We’ll let you know the results in an hour,” he said.
Isabelle waited, her heart thumping. However, the good news reached her when she was called into the office an hour later.
“We would like to talk about the following stages because we enjoy your product, Isabelle. But before we can perform a sanitary inspection, we must come to your factory. “Are you able to produce 10,000 packets per month if our standards are met?” Chris inquired.
Because Isabelle had no idea when the next opportunity would present itself, she was powerless to say no. After leaving the office, she walked to a cafe and pondered how she would set everything up. Chris had two weeks till his inspection.
The buzzing sound on her phone startled her out of her reverie.

“Hey, Aunt Georgina,” she said.
Georgina worriedly said, “Honey, your mother’s condition is getting worse.” Linda needed surgery within a month when it was discovered that her medical report contained a mistake.
“But how could the doctors make such a big error?” Isabelle raged, secretly fearing about Linda.
“I wish I could do something to help you both…” Georgina a saddened sigh.
Isabelle realised she now had just one chance to assist her mother. She went to see Mr. Navarro, the affluent businessman who used to be her classmate. She filled him in on every detail of her ordeal in trying to make the first few dried meat samples.
But I’m here with a bargain because I know you’re a real businessman. I can give you 35 percent of the factory’s profits if you invest with me and everything works well.”
“Work is work, my love,” Mr. Navarro said. “Now, here’s the catch. I’d take thirty-five percent plus a third of the proceeds from the sale of your seized house. Are we in agreement?”
Today…
“Mr. Navarro and I reached an agreement. I received my first check after passing Chris’s inspection. It enabled me to reclaim our house and pay for Mom’s medical care. Dad, we made it through. You’re no longer employed here, though, since I cannot tolerate betrayal. Hold on to me over behind the warehouse.
A warehouse worker was carrying two boxes when Isabelle, who was meeting William after around fifteen minutes, arrived. She said, “Open it, Dad,” as the employee gave William the boxes.
Inside were the abandoned kitchenware and commercial oven that William and Linda had been trying to sell.
“Dad, I believe we’re now on par. You have all you require to transform your life and launch and expand a business. Please believe me. Isabelle said, “I’ve been there,” grinning and turning to go.
