My Wife Disowned Her Parents after Our Son’s Birth – 15 Years Later, She Told Me the Shocking Truth
Henry is sick of playing the role of mediator between his wife and her parents, who have a long-standing dispute. After a period of fifteen years, he finally takes a firm stance and inquires about the real cause for the dissolution of their relationship. Nevertheless, everything is going to change once he finds out the truth.
I am aware of the intricate interactions inside families. I am aware that problems eventually come to the surface, get worse, and result in something unpleasant. Candace, my wife, renounced her family, and I had no choice but to stand by her side and support her choice.

Aside from the fact that it has been fifteen years, she has not communicated with them in any way. And she is not going to explain the reason why.
The statement that our kid, Lucas, made to me was, “Mom told me that I can’t go to Grandma’s house.” “Grandpa is helping me with an assignment.”
As a result of this, I had been accustomed to the fact that Candace was always refusing, and Lucas’s only desire was to be with his grandparents, who were quite fond of him.
“I’ll handle it,” I told him. “I understand.”
After taking Lucas to his grandparents, I went back to my house, where I discovered Candace in the process of making waffles.

She said, “I didn’t want you to take him,” and she meant it.
“Lucas is cherished by your parents. It is not clear to me why he should forego spending time with them. While it is true that you have an issue with them, this does not indicate that he should.
Candace gazed at me with her large blue eyes and slowly blinked during our conversation.
“They are completely meaningless to me,” she stated.
Not knowing what had gone wrong, I was at a loss for words. During the time that Candace was carrying Lucas, her parents were never absent at our front door. Whenever she requested her father to do something, he would do it. Her mother prepared everything she could possibly imagine.
They were so close that they had moved in with us for the week coming up to Lucas’s due date. Furthermore, they were inseparable. But after Candace gave birth, everything was different from that point on.
“Candace,” I remarked as I watched her chow down on her waffle sandwiches. “Tell me what happened.”
Despite her avoidance of eye contact, she continued to munch.
If you don’t tell me, I’m going to begin the divorce process. It is impossible for me to lead a life that is founded on lies.
Following her departure from the kitchen, she threw her fork on the counter and walked out.
She asked Henry, “You want the truth, Henry?” as she strolled behind him. “Here’s the truth.”
When she entered our study, she took out a thick file that was wedged between ancient encyclopedias. This was the collection that her father had purchased in response to her request.

She threw the file in my direction and then left the room.
I was standing there, slumped over my desk, and I was scrolling through a maze of paperwork, including medical records and a note that I had written by hand.
While I was reading it, I had the sensation that the earth had shifted off its axis.
For the sake of brevity:
The parents of Candace were adamant about the idea of having a grandson. In order for them to be able to transfer their enterprises and fortune to the infant boy, they need us to produce a son. This was something that they had refused to do for Candace.
As a result of the fact that Candace’s parents are influential individuals, it did not come as a surprise to learn that they had achieved their goals. As it turned out, Candace had given birth to a baby girl; however, when her parents discovered that we had a daughter, they engineered a switch, giving us Lucas, who is our son in every meaning of the word, except for the biological sense.
As I made my way to the kitchen, I noticed that Candace was standing at the sink with her eyes closed.
“They terminated the nurse’s employment,” she stated. When it comes to her, the only thing that remains is that handwritten note that tells me the truth. Then, she vanished without a trace.”
A beverage was poured for myself. I had just made a discovery, and I had no idea how to begin processing anything I had just learned.

It’s not just a feud, Henry, that’s for sure. I am in pain. According to her, “It’s survival.”
Candace then told me that she wanted to tell me everything, but she couldn’t live with the possibility that I wouldn’t accept Lucas as our son. We sat in the living room, and she shared her story with me.
“We have a biological daughter out there,” she exclaimed with a sense of regret.
“Is this why your mother persuaded you not to find out the sex of the baby?” I inquired about it. An elaborate gender reveal was something that my sister wanted to prepare for us, but Candace’s mother had disapproved of the idea.
We have been conducting DNA testing for a few months now, and the results have shown that Lucas is not our biological son. Additionally, we threatened to file a lawsuit against the hospital in the event that they did not disclose the identity of our daughter.
I, Candace, and Lucas have had a meeting with the other family, as well as with our daughter. Candace’s eyes are the same color as mine, and she has my sandy brown hair. She is a wonderful girl by the name of Darcy.
In what way are Candace’s parents? They have transformed into ghosts of a time in our history that we wish with all our heart to not remember. Conflicts in the courtroom continue; I have informed Candace that I want to fight them for everything they are worth.
However, putting it aside, both families are concentrating on getting better and starting over. Candace was of the opinion that if we were to go further, the only thing that would help us would be the truth, thus we have informed the children the truth.
Regarding the news, the children are doing really well. Moreover, we have had a few encounters with the family. It would appear that Lucas is thankful that we did not conceal the truth about the issue from him but rather gave him the opportunity to learn about it. In addition, he and Darcy have a really good relationship.
I am currently seeing life from Candace’s perspective, and I am curious about how she has managed to endure this misery for such a long period of time. However, she is adamant that the sole reason she has been able to survive for such a long time is because of Lucas and what a bright and brilliant light he was.
How would you have handled the situation if you had been in our position?

Another story for you: Olivia is expecting her second child. She is currently three months pregnant. As a result of her friend Ava signing them up for a pottery party, she hears about the activities that her husband has been participating in outside of their marriage. Where do we go from here?
