Rich Guy Humiliates Disabled Waiter Who Taught Him A Lesson He Will Never Forget

Alex, a college student, is accustomed to living off of his father’s generosity, but after he acts rudely towards a café employee, his father makes him pay for his new automobile. Could Alex, though, meet the challenge?

Alex was in a cafe, sitting at a table and going through his phone. The waiter, Eric, a diligent young man in his early twenties, approached him, looking apprehensive.

He enquired, “What can I get you, sir?”
“Sir?” Sneering, Alex avoided glancing at the waitress. “Do I have an elderly appearance? A double espresso please.

“Sorry, was that a double or single?” Eric queried.

“What, are you deaf?” Alex said in a rude way. “I spoke twice. Without sugar, black.”

Alex resumed his phone scrolling. Although Alex had failed his most recent maths test, his father had still promised to buy him a fancy automobile if he did well in school.
After returning a few minutes later, the waiter said, “Here you go, enjoy.”

“What is this?” With a glare at the waitress, Alex inquired. “I said black; why is there milk in this?”

Eric’s expression darkened. “I’m so sorry.”

“I would terminate you if I were your boss. Alex yelled, “Go get what I asked for now.”

Eric’s expression flushed. He yelled, “Right away,” and quickly left.

Bill, a dignified man, joined Alex at his table a short while later. “Hello, Son,” he grinned.
Alex said, “Hey, Dad,” and set down his phone. “I’m merely awaiting my coffee. The waiter is a complete idiot.”

Alex’s dad scowled. That’s not very polite, Alex. I’m let down by you. Even when others make mistakes, you still need to learn to treat them with more respect.”

Eric came back at that moment with Alex’s new coffee. “All right, sir. “Black double espresso, on the house.”

With a raised eyebrow, Alex remarked, “Took you long enough.”

Eric looked up at Bill. He enquired, “What can I get you, sir?”

Bill said, “Flat white, please.”

Leaning closer to Bill, Alex did so. “Sorry, I didn’t catch that, sir,” he replied.

Bill yelled, “Flat white,” with even more intensity as he turned to face Alex.

With a “got it, thank you, sir,” Alex turned to leave.

Bill began, “You know that waiter is doing his best.” Most likely, he is overworked. You ought to be more sympathetic. Alex, everyone is deserving of respect. I’m at a loss for words if that’s not something you can understand.”
Alex boldly proposed, “Spare me the lecture and just get me a new car.”

Bill cocked an eyebrow. “You’re headed for trouble, son.”

Disregarding his father’s advice, Alex showed him an article about the rising value of high-end vehicles. He made the case for investing in a BMW M1.

“Alex, it is a $500k automobile. A brand-new automobile typically costs $50,000. Bill retorted, “I won’t buy you a car ten times that.”

But you have to invest in it! It might increase by 25% “Alex begged.

“Alex, give up. Simply said, forget it. I’m reconsidering the car completely in light of your attitude. What’s up with your grades?” Bill asked.

Alex acknowledged his difficulties in maths. “But I passed statistics.”

“That is insufficient. One must excel in order to prosper. Furthermore, don’t think you can just stroll into my business. You’ll have to work for it,” said Bill.
Alex objected, “But you always give me what I want.”

Bill said, “Not this time,” choosing not to put up with Alex’s impolite behaviour.

Perplexed, Alex stared. “What do you mean?”

Bill went on, “I mean, you’re going to learn a lesson.”

But Alex answered, “I don’t want a job.” “I work no longer. I attend college. You’re wealthy as well.”

“I am affluent,” his dad declared. “However, I had to work hard for my money. You must understand the importance of perseverance. I’ll find you a position.”

Alex looked with shock at his father. “What is the position? “Will I work for you as an intern?” he inquired.

Eric quickly hurried over after Bill waved him over with his hand.

“What can I get you for lunch, gents?” Eric queried. After taking a cursory glance at the menu, Bill and Alex made their orders.

Bill said, “Oh, please ask your manager to come over.”
“Yes,” Eric replied, looking concerned. “I apologise for the coffee earlier, sir; my mistake.”

“Oh, don’t worry about that,” Bill replied, “it’s another matter entirely.”

Reggie, the cafe manager, approached and enquired as to what they required. Bill inquired about potential staffing shortages, and the manager verified it. Then the burly businessman let loose a bomb.

“My kid and I were just having a conversation here, and he actually needs a job. If you’d like, he may begin immediately,” Bill answered.

Glancing at Alex, Reggie questioned whether he had any prior experience. The pampered college student didn’t, but the boss decided to hire him after some deliberation. Bill forewarned Reggie that his kid could not leave until he had done something very destructive.

“What? Is this becoming too much? How much time must I spend working here?” How about Alex?

“Over the whole summer break. We can chat about cars later if you continue. And no, not a BMW, just a regular, everyday vehicle to transport you from point A to point B.”
The following day, Alex arrived at the cafe for work, feeling anxious and uneasy. Although he didn’t want to be there, he was forced to go. He was given the first table with a couple by the manager. Pen and notepad at the ready, he said, “What can I get you folks?”

“To begin with, we’ll have a macchiato and a latte,” the woman stated. “Almond milk in both, please.”

“Well, we just have coffee,” a hesitant Alex uttered. “You know, espresso?”

Looking perplexed, the pair gave an explanation. Saying that it was his first day, Alex apologised. After taking the orders to the counter, he jotted them down. He positioned himself awkwardly in front of the coffee maker.

“How does this thing work?” Alex was taken aback as steam suddenly began to flow out of a knob. A few feet away, Eric was watching him and grinning to himself. With the gadget, Alex was looking foolish.

Panicked, Alex turned to see Eric observing him. He glanced back swiftly, acting as though he understood what he was doing. At last, Eric approached him. He enquired, “What’s the order?”
When Alex gave him the order, Eric grinned and started preparing things. He demonstrated for the novice all of the functions and button presses.

Alex nodded, thanked him for the instruction, and inquired about preparing a latte. Eric said nothing, but asked if he should fulfil the request on his behalf. With excitement, Alex nodded.

The knowledgeable server nodded and completed the drinks. Alex whisked them off when he was ready. In a matter of seconds, he was gone, hastily pacing back to the coffee shop. “I forgot it’s supposed to be almond milk,” he replied.

In an attempt to seize control, Eric gave Alex the order to take orders from all of his tables as well. Alex thanked him at the end of the morning rush. As they got to talking about their pasts, Eric began to wonder why the college student was now employed there.

Alex gave a justification and an apology for his impoliteness the day before. In their break, he discovered a lot about the seasoned waiter. However, he also observed that Eric often asked him to repeat certain points.
“Hey, man, are you deaf or something?” Without hesitation, Alex asked. Eric said nothing, but his expression was sorrowful. “Eric, can you not hear me?” Alex said as he moved in closer, convinced that he was not hearing.

“Can you keep a secret?” Eric enquired in turn. “I’m losing my hearing.”

Eric remarked that he had only begun to notice it a few months ago, which startled Alex. When Alex inquired about ways he might assist, the seasoned server thought of one. Eric took care of the coffee maker while Alex took orders and wrote them down. Their division of labour was unusual.

Alex was surprised to hear that Eric had to report to his second job at a restaurant after their shift. For that, he was admiring his new friend, but Eric claimed it was wearing him down. His hearing continued to deteriorate. In addition, he feared losing his job as a result of making mistakes.
Eric stated he could be easily replaced, but Alex countered that it would be against the law. Luckily, he was collaborating with physicians to acquire pricey hearing aids. He had to work two jobs as a result.

They continued to converse for some time. Alex found out more about Eric’s family and where he resided. Additionally, the experience was his household’s source of income. Following their chat, Eric happily accepted Alex’s offer to pay for an Uber to his restaurant.

“Hey, Eric, I have an idea,” screamed Alex as soon as they arrived and Eric got out. I’ll update you on it shortly.” After that, he took an Uber to his home.

For the next three months, Alex and Eric stayed to work together at the cafe. When Eric couldn’t hear something, Alex assisted him by filling in. Along with Eric, he would approach the table and urge the patrons to reiterate their orders.
They continued talking as the college student always paid for an Uber to take Eric to his second job. Alex once declared that he wants to assist with assists. However, the surgery came at an astounding $60,000, although the aids only cost about $5,000.

“Well, that’s a big sum of money,” whistled Alex. “But I think we can figure it out.”

Unsure, Eric questioned, “How?”

Alex described his plan, including his father’s employment and the investments he would make to generate the necessary funds for the surgery. Alex was adamant, but Eric didn’t want to bother anyone. He was motivated by his new companion.

A few nights later, Alex ran into his father at a pub. The elderly man inquired about the state of affairs. Bill laughed when Alex mentioned that he only had one month to go pick up his car. Subsequently, they discussed Eric and the benefits of investing his money.
Although Eric had amassed almost $10,000 in savings, Bill was worried. There were substantial dangers associated with investments. But Alex had more in store. His father then grinned and remarked, “It might work.” Come on, let’s do it.”

Before long, Alex’s last day working as a cafe server arrived, and his father stopped by to celebrate his son’s accomplishment. When Bill showed off his pride, Alex grinned. The older man recommended that Eric come celebrate with them.

Bill nodded to Alex, thanking him for assisting his kid in every way he could, and then they could finally share their idea.

Alex began, “So, Eric, we looked at the numbers.” “A new car typically costs approximately $48 thousand. I’ve made the decision to offer you that money. Not that I need a car at this point. And I am aware of how crucial it is for you to have clear hearing once more.”

Eric’s jaw fell. But Alex clarified that that money was insufficient, and they would need to make investments. He was hoping the returns would be sufficient in a month.
The seasoned waiter began to cry and say, “Thank you,” but Bill interrupted, reminding him that he was the reason his kid was feeling so motivated. After that, Eric and Alex went back to work.

Bill observed as they embraced behind the bar and got to work. He had the fullest chest imaginable.
