I Was Terrified upon Seeing What My Future Daughter-in-Law Put into My Son’s Apple Pie on Their Wedding Day

Dorothy observes that Eva, her son’s fiancee, is completely preoccupied with the idea of preparing fresh apple pies for him one week before the wedding anniversary of her son. On the other hand, Dorothy discovers Blake in a problematic state on the day of the wedding, and she immediately draws all of her attention to the contents of the pie.

All things considered, the week leading up to the wedding of my son was nothing short of strange.

Blake and Eva were staying with us until they were able to save enough money to purchase the house of their dreams. It was necessary for them to save money because they had gone to great lengths for their wedding. We were overjoyed to announce the arrival of our son and our soon-to-be daughter-in-law since Danny and I had a large house, which was too large for the two of us to live in together.

It has always been my pleasure to have Eva as a member of our family, and I was very excited to introduce her to everyone. In addition to being kind and helpful, she could be seen rushing around the home cleaning and preparing meals for the rest of us very frequently.

On the other hand, Eva suddenly found herself obsessed with creating apple pies (a new hobby).

For each and every day.

From the beginning, it was charming because she did it solely for Blake and Blake alone. I’m referring about a freshly baked pie that is made every single evening. The situation continued for a period of six days, during which time each pie inexplicably vanished into their room.

Nevertheless, neither Danny nor I were ever offered a slice by Eva.

“Leave them alone, Dorothy,” Danny was heard saying. “Maybe it means something to them.”

I was able to stumble upon my opportunity on the morning of the wedding. Due to the fact that Eva was in a hurry to get to the bathroom before her appointment for hair and makeup, she left the remaining pieces of the most recent pie on the kitchen counter.

As my curiosity got the better of me, I raised the crust of the pie in order to get a glimpse of what was inside. What I saw caused my stomach to churn; the filling included a slimy substance that neither I nor anyone else could identify.

I poked it with a knife in an effort to determine what it was and what it was composed of. Although it appeared to be seaweed, there was no way to be absolutely positive.

The alarm bells in my head sounded out loudly.

I hurried to Blake’s room while my pulse was hammering, and I was carrying the pie with me.

As I opened the door with a creak, I was confronted with a scene that I will never forget.

In that moment, he was found laying on his bed, motionless, with a plate containing pie crumbs resting on the nightstand.

In the midst of my screams for my husband to dial 911, I accidentally dropped the pie, causing the dish to shatter and fall to the ground.

In a state of shock, Eva came sprinting with her eyes wide open.

In a gulp, she asked, “What happened?”

“Don’t you know?” As I was persuaded that Eva had poisoned Blake, I made the accusation.

Over the course of the subsequent hours, our residence was filled with a flurry of uniforms, flashing lights, and sirens as paramedics arrived. The diagnosis that I received at the hospital was exactly what I had dreaded it would be: Blake had been poisoned, and hazardous compounds were flowing through his bloodstream.

However, the most shocking part was when the doctors questioned Eva, and she admitted to the crime! Her admission provided an image that was so distorted that it was difficult to comprehend while she was crying.

Hissing, Eva said, “She…” “She said it was a family tradition.”

As the doctor continued, he approached Eva and asked her to elaborate further.

In the weeks preceding up to the wedding, it was customary for a young woman to make a fresh apple pie for her fiance every single day. This was meant to ensure that the couple would have a happy marriage. My mother told me about this practice. It was even the secret component that she supplied to me! Despite the fact that her hands were shaking, she sobbed, “I swear, I didn’t know it was poison.”

A big breath was taken by her.

In the room, she posed the question, “Why would I hurt him?” “Why would I hurt the one person who has always believed in me?”

The revelation that Eva’s family had been working against the marriage from the very beginning was a shocking revelation. Their perception of Blake was that he was a potential threat to the substantial sum of money that he and Eva had been putting away for their future.

The unique component, what is it? a rare plant extract that Eva’s family decided to use in order to carry out their horrific plot while pretending that they were acting out of love and unity.

In a confession, Eva admitted, “I was supposed to eat it as well.” But it’s such a decadent pie, and I wanted to make sure that my outfit looked beautiful with it. As a result, I didn’t consume a significant amount of it. I only need the pastries.”

Despite the fact that the betrayal was profound, something wonderful took place in the aftermath of it. At the time that my kid was recuperating in the hospital, Eva would not leave his side. She would only go home to take a shower and change clothes when I was present. Danny and I, on the other hand, found ourselves supporting Eva as well.

She, too, was a victim, with her naivety being taken advantage of by the very individuals she should have trusted.

Because of Eva’s willingness to cooperate and her sense of justice, the police were able to comprehend the strategy that her family had devised, which ultimately led to their prosecution.

Eva was granted forgiveness by Blake, who explained to her that his love for her was more profound than a mistake.

“I find it romantic,” he laughed out loud. “You wanted to butter me up with pie, but it almost killed me.”

She asked Blake, in a shocked tone, “How is that in any way romantic?”

“Because I survived,” he said to her as he took her hand.

As a demonstration of their steadfast devotion to one another, Danny and I insisted that they postpone the wedding. This was not because we were uncertain about their decision.

In a ceremony that was more personal and meaningful than I could have ever imagined, Blake and Eva stood before us and exchanged their vows. This was the moment when Blake finally healed.

Eva is now my daughter in every sense of the word, despite the fact that she has abandoned her family in the wake of what they have done.
