In addition to having a kid who was three years old, the Original Poster (OP) had been married to her husband, who was 32 years old, for a period of four years.
OP disclosed that they had made the decision to decide against having any more children. Ever since she made that decision, she has informed her partner that she is interested in undergoing cosmetic surgery in order to improve the appearance of her breasts.
However, it appeared that this decision contributed to her mother-in-law’s (MIL) disapproval and suspicions, which ultimately resulted in a strained relationship that was characterized by criticism and behavior that was intrusive.
The mother-in-law, who is described as being overbearing due to the fact that her son is her only child, increased the intrusive activities she was taking after the operation. She made negative remarks about her daughter-in-law’s appearance and the attire she chose to wear, and she implied that the surgery was performed for the purpose of gaining male approval outside of her marriage connection. As OP remembered, “I had a sneaking suspicion that she was going through my drawers, but my husband assured me that she could never do that.”

“When I was restocking my drawers, I used one in my vanity to put all of my husband’s and mine’s sex toys, a few sets, and a dirty letter he wrote to me once.”
The trap was set, and the mother-in-law paid a few visits to the couple’s residence but did not make any statements. OP acknowledged that she was feeling sorry about accusing her. On the other hand, it wasn’t long until the mother-in-law, who was joined by her daughter, accidentally disclosed her tendency of snooping whenever she paid a visit to their residence. The mother and daughter were in town, and OP and her husband were in the kitchen preparing meals for them while they were there. OP provided an explanation of what took place and wrote:
We were able to hear my mother-in-law calling us, and when we got to our room, they were standing next to my open drawer. I simply snorted, glanced at my husband, and said, “See? She is intrusive.””
The individual who relayed the information stated that her husband’s face became red, and he began berating his mother and sister. During the conflict that followed, there was no room for ambiguity about the behavior of the mother-in-law (MIL), which resulted in a heated exchange and her subsequent departure with the sister-in-law (SIL), both of whom referred to the individual in question as “indecent.”
