Baumgartner makes totes that can be bought in shops under the brand name Cat Bag Couture. She told the Denver Post in 2005 about how she became a handbag designer.

“When I came up with some samples, I showed them to Kevin, and he said they were beautiful and amazing,” she said. “He told me to do the next thing, and he would help me.” I’ve always loved style and fashion, and it’s great when they can go together.

The Wedding Took Place In 2004.

Baumgartner and Costner’s wedding in 2004 was like something out of a fairy tale. The wedding occurred on Costner’s 160-acre ranch in Aspen, called “The Dunbar.”

 Some people said that Baumgartner showed up in a green vintage truck while the star rode in a horse-drawn wagon.

The Two Of Them Lived Together In Santa Barbara.

Costner owns a 160-acre ranch in Colorado, where he has deep roots. However, Baumgartner and Costner lived with their children in Santa Barbara, California, while married.

TMZ said that Baumgartner did not want to leave the house she shared with Costner after she filed for divorce in May 2023.

The actress offered to give her $10,000 to help with moving costs and another $30,000 monthly to rent a house, but she didn’t accept. The date was set in their prenuptial agreement at 30 days.

In July 2023, Baumgartner was told by a judge to leave Costner’s California home by the end of the month. The judge also told her she couldn’t take “items of property including, but not limited to, furniture, furnishings, appliances, and artwork.”

Someone who knows Costner said he “was relieved” when he heard the decision. After a few weeks, moving trucks were seen leaving the $145 million home in Santa Barbara.

Soon after, someone else said Baumgartner was “happy” to be away from home. A source said, “Christine hopes there will be less drama now.”

Baumgartner told Costner that he wanted to start a family, even though they were almost 20 years apart. Baumgartner told Costner on the first day of their relationship, “If you’re going to be with me, you need to know that kids are at the end of the road for me with you if that’s going to happen.”

They were together for six years before Baumgartner told Costner he had to break up with her. Costner finally thought, “Maybe this doesn’t go forward,” but then he changed his mind and said, “I’m not going to lose her because I’m afraid.”

Finally, Baumgartner and Costner broke up after 18 years of marriage after the mother of three filed for divorce on May 1, 2023.

“We ask that his, Christine’s, and their children’s privacy be respected as they navigate this difficult time.” The next day, Costner replied and asked for shared custody of the couple’s children.

“He wouldn’t have wanted or sought that, and if he could change things, he would,” a source told just days after the divorce became public.

Baumgartner has chosen to question the couple’s prenup since she filed for divorce. If she does that, she might have to give up her $1.5 million divorce deal. After that, Costner asked Baumgartner to pay him $99,225 in attorney fees.

The ex-couple prenuptial agreement said that if either party hired a lawyer to “enforce or prevent a breach” of the contract, “the prevailing party… shall be entitled… to be reimbursed by the non-prevailing party for all costs and expenses incurred thereby.”

After that, Baumgartner’s lawyers asked the court to dismiss Costner’s request, saying it was “unreasonable.” Their divorce was finally finalized in September 2023.

In a joint statement, Costner’s rep said, “Kevin and Christine Costner have come to an amicable and mutually agreed upon resolution of all issues about their divorce proceedings.” On February 16, 2024, they were no longer married legally.

Costner Was Asked To Pay $248,000 A Month In Child Support.

It came to light in June 2023 that Baumgartner wanted $248,000 a month in child support for all three of the couple’s kids. At first, Costner wanted to pay $38,000 monthly in child support and “100% of certain child-related costs,” such as health insurance and private school fees.

Baumgartner said in the report that “is less than the amount needed to maintain the children in their accustomed lifestyle.”

Early in the process, a source said that Costner “wants to hold on to as much as he can” while getting divorced.

In July 2023, a judge told Costner that he would have to pay $129,755 monthly in child support for the foreseeable future. Court records show that Baumgartner asked for $175,057 a month in child support the following month.

Costner was told to pay Baumgartner $63,209 a month for child support during a two-day hearing in September 2023. This ended the case for good.

Costner Thinks She Was “Planning Her Exit” For A Long Time Before She Filed For Divorce.

Costner and his team think Baumgartner had plans to split up with the star from Yellowstone for a long time before she filed for divorce. A few months before they broke up, she reportedly bought a new car and took cash advances on credit cards that were given to her employees.

“Months before separation, although the parties had always leased their automobiles, without [Costner’s] knowledge or consent, [Christine] bought an expensive vehicle for her personal use (probably because the [prenuptial agreement] allows her to take that vehicle with her),” a court document stated.
