Moreover, 57% of respondents stated that they would take flights more frequently if they could travel with their animal friends.

Virgin Australia CEO Jayne Hrdlicka expressed her excitement for the new endeavor, saying, “We are excited at the prospect of taking off with Australia’s first-ever pets in cabin flights. Our love for animals has always been in our DNA.” It is a well-established practice that is frequently carried out abroad.

So what does this mean for pet-free travelers? You can be confident that Virgin Airlines recognizes the value of making sure each passenger has a comfortable journey. How will it all operate then? Small dogs and cats are welcome to travel on board as long as they can fit inside a carrier that is tucked under the seat in front of the passenger. Due to the use of an authorized carrier, these furry guests will not be allowed to walk around during the trip. A fair fee will be assessed to individuals who are eligible, albeit the exact cost of this service has not yet been made public.
