On the woman’s terms, Maria was required to obtain her General Equivalency Diploma (GED), work at least 25 hours each week, and attend school in order to plan her future career. Maria was also required to purchase her own personal goods and participate in the tasks around the house. On the other hand, she is not required to pay the rent.
During the time when Maria was putting her life in order and making plans for a prosperous future, her mother did not want her to continue to party every night as she had been doing in the past. A better option would be for her to do anything she wants on the weekends.
Following the revelation of all the ailments that her mother was suffering from, Maria referred to the woman as insane and a terrible mother. “I informed her that she made it clear that she has no mother,” according to the female witness. At the conclusion of the conversation, Maria distanced herself from her mother.
After some time had passed, the woman decided to post about her predicament on Reddit in the hopes of gaining insight from the members of the online community forum. She was met with a number of messages of support and encouragement. “It is clear from her response to your needs that she is not interested in having a romantic connection. Someone stated, “She is looking to take advantage of you and make your life even more difficult than it already is.”
According to the opinions of other individuals on Reddit, the terms were acceptable and largely intended to be beneficial to Maria in the future. It would have been inappropriate for her to challenge her mother’s demands given that she was an adult.
