Brad Pitt’s confession about his romance from 30 years ago: ”I still love the woman”

Brad Pitt,59, was an unknown actor who off-screen dated a young Juliette Lewis, whom he described as “one of the greatest relationships” of his life, before his brief but unforgettable role in Thelma and Louise inspired women to slow down their vehicles in hopes of picking up a hot, dimpled hitchhiker.

Pitt was romantically involved with Lewis when he was a much younger man. The two met on the shooting of the television film Too Young to Die, in which Pitt plays the sleazy boyfriend of a young man who runs away.

A Missouri child began reshaping Hollywood in 1990, captivating every scene with his endearing smile, bleached blonde hair, and natural acting skills.

In the TV film Too Young to Die, the eccentric Juliette Lewis, then just 17 years old, played the nasty boyfriend of a young runaway played by the alarmingly attractive 27-year-old Brad Pitt.

Lewis became the envy of many women as the two, despite their ten-year age difference at the time, developed an undeniable chemistry and rose to the status as one of Hollywood’s hottest couples.

Lewis reflected on their courtship at the time, saying, “We started dating after the movie of the week ended. We met on a movie of the week.” He was an actor that I already loved, and you have to appreciate those who work in your industry.

After a brief cameo as a cowboy hitchhiker in the 1991 road trip classic Thelma and Louise, starring Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon, Pitt’s career took off while he was with Lewis. Fans were astonished by his screen time even after his character stole all of the women’s money.

Pitt’s second major appearance came in the Robert Redford-directed 1992 film A River Runs Through It, where once again women fell in love with his youthful attractive features and critics complimented his performance.

Lewis, who is the actor Geoffrey Lewis’s daughter, completed filming Martin Scorsese’s 1991 thriller Cape Fear, for which she was nominated for an Oscar.

The duo was regarded as one of the sexiest pairs of the early 1990s, and they were the talk of the town while they were dating. They were also frequently pictured together on red carpets.

Fans were thrilled to see the two actors together again after their enthralling professional paths collided in the 1993 movie Kalifornia, in which Pitt portrayed Lewis’s violent husband, a psychotic serial killer.

While the film was being filmed, Lewis expressed her joy at having her significant other on screen with her. It’s really, really good that we’re at a stage in our relationship where we just want to see each other every day and we don’t get bored with each other.

“You do a scene and then go over and grab the one you love,” Pitt continued. We just wanted to do it more for a holiday, but you want to maintain your careers your careers and your love your love.

However, both the movie and their relationship failed.

In a 2011 interview with Vanity Fair, Pitt revealed a hint of their formerly intense bond by saying, “I still love the woman.” That is some true brilliance. We had a terrific time together. “Look, I don’t want to go into an explanation,” he went on. I appreciated the opinions she held, and she had her own. She is acquainted with people. One of the best partnerships I’ve ever been in was that one. The issue is that, as children, we are taught that love is stronger than all other emotions, but that isn’t true, is it?

The Legends of the Fall star had dated a number of young women before he started dating Lewis, including Christina Applegate, who “ditched him for another dude” in 1989, and Jill Schoelen, whom he met on the production of the 1989 slasher movie Cutting Class.

Their relationship blossomed swiftly, and he had an exceptional bond with Lewis.

Moving in together, the couple commiserated about their experiences as young, aspiring actors in Los Angeles. In a heartfelt reminiscence of their shared cottage on Melrose, Lewis said, “It was such a lovely time in my life—well, in both of our lives—because we were anonymous.”

The Bullet Train actor quipped that they “were trying to be Sid and Nancy [of the Sex Pistols] or something” in a 1994 interview with Rolling Stone. We were fools. All we were doing was having a blast.

The actress from Interview with a Vampire later wed Friends star Jennifer Aniston from 2000 to 2005, and subsequently Angelina Jolie from 2014 to 2019.

He has two Academy Awards, one from the 1995 film 12 Monkeys and the other from the 2014 film 12 Years a Slave and the 2020 film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, for which he also won a Golden Globe.

Lewis later starred with Johnny Depp in What’s Eating Gilbert Grape, George Clooney in From Dusk Till Dawn, and Woody Harrelson in Natural Born Killers. The professional skateboarder Steve Berra and the 50-year-old actor, who was raised in Scientology, got divorced in 2003.

“Just because Brad Pitt is renowned, people ask me questions about him. Because we were married, our relationship with my ex-husband is significantly more meaningful, although they don’t really ask about it,” Lewis remarked.

Years later, Lewis opened out about her connection with the sexiest person in Hollywood, saying she couldn’t understand why people were still talking about it. He is no longer at all in my universe. Since he’s now a well-known figure, it feels like a high school romance. I turn to face this individual with whom I have some past history. I really did love him, and I sincerely hope he finds happiness. He’s a really decent, upright man.

In addition to being an incredibly talented actor, Brad Pitt has the most amazing smile.

Finding out about performers in their formative years is always fascinating, as is the case with Pitt’s friendship with a young Juliette Lewis.
