Captured in Nature: The Eerie Discovery That Changed Everything
Woman snaps photo running through rainforest – later spots haunting detail in the bushes
Over the years, countless “spooky” photos have found their way into the internet. There are many of such photos if you chose to search for them, ranging from alleged Big Foot sightings to claimed flying saucer sightings in the sky to ghosts appearing in the windows of old, dilapidated homes.
To start with, we will acknowledge that most of the photographs are not quite as mysterious as people have claimed.

Most of the time, the creepy detail or paranormal element is only an accidental camera blur or the result of an overly enthusiastic Photoshop user.
Nevertheless, there are some images that seem to contradict logic in one way or another. Just ask runner Kay Borleis, who noticed an eerie feature in a picture taken during her 100-mile run through the rainforest of Hawaii. I don’t understand why somebody would subject themselves to such a strenuous physical task, but that’s not the point of this discussion.
Kay reportedly started the Trail 100-Mile Endurance Run in 2019 with the Hawaiian Ultra Running Team. In this race, participants complete five laps on a 20-mile loop through a densely forested area.
Cassie, a friend of Kay’s who was working as a pacemaker, joined her, and it was Cassie who took pictures while they were running.
One of the ensuing pictures seemed to depict Kay walking through the middle of the jungle on a muddy trail. However, upon closer inspection, she saw a detail in the picture that we can only characterize as unnerving.

“My pacer took this photo,” Kay posted on Reddit.
“Observe the person in the picture to my left. There were no sculptures along the trail, and we never saw anyone going past us.
It is not artificial or photoshopped. This is authentic.
Close-ups of the disputed picture do seem to depict a dark figure wearing tattered clothing, seemingly observing Kay as she runs. But Kay maintained that nobody was there at the moment.
She clarified, saying, “There are rumors that Hawaiian warrior ghosts known as Night Marchers wander the island.
“They haunt the island as murderous shades, demons, and revenants.” They are the ferocious, reanimated ghosts of legendary Hawaiian warriors and combatants from the past.
‘Old Hawaiian tenets claim that any mortal gazing upon or being viewed in defiance of the marchers will die terribly and violently,’ we discovered after conducting additional study. Some claim that by lying motionless, on the ground, and bowed to the marchers, the mortal is showing the Night Marchers the appropriate respect, terror, and reverence, and that they will be pardoned and spared.
“Fortunately, the alleged Night Marcher was not visible to us.”
When shooting a picture, have you ever seen a detail you weren’t expecting?
