Van Dyke is 97 years old. The driver of his 2018 Lexus LS 500 lost control of the vehicle on March 15 due to the rainy weather, and the vehicle ultimately fell into a gate.

The terrifying event did not deter Van Dyke from maintaining his characteristic sense of humour, as he revealed, “The airbag did not deploy, so I just did a face plant right into the steering wheel.”

As a result of the accident, he had discomfort and a laceration on his lip that required two stitches. On the other hand, the actor did not allow the negative experience to damper his enthusiasm.

Van Dyke, who is well-known for his wit, made a humorous remark about his age, saying things like, “I’m 97. “Every single one of my friends has passed away.”
