“62-Year-Old Mom’s Shocking Romance and Will Change: Kids Left in the Cold”
Children Learn Their 62-Year-Old Mom Is Seeing a Younger Man and Excluded Them from Her Will — Story of the Day
When a 62-year-old woman begins seeing a younger man, her children become enraged and demand that she end their relationship. Her response, however, astounds them.

Before her husband of forty years, Darrel Sutherland, came home one day and announced he wanted a divorce, Gail Sutherland thought she was a happy woman. While still a college student, Gail wed Darrel, with whom she had three children.
“But Gail, I love you,” she muttered. “You’re my whole life!” Gail became enraged when she noticed a fleeting hint of guilt and sympathy in Darrel’s eyes.
Darrel remarked, “It’s not that I don’t love you, Gail.” “It’s just that I’m in love with someone else, someone younger, and she makes me feel alive!”
“Alive!” Gail said again. “So how do I affect your feelings? DEATH? She touched her still-smooth cheeks with her hands. Her mirror assured her that she was still lovely and slender!

“Old,” yelled Darrel. “You give me the chills! Gail, you always talk about retirement and grandchildren, and I’m too young for that! “I desire to survive.”
Gail touched her lips with quivering fingertips. “I’m 62, and you’re 65, Darrel, there’s nothing wrong with our age, or wanting grandchildren…”
Darrel gave a shrug. “At 28 years old, Diana exudes excitement and energy, and she reminds me of my childhood.” Gail, don’t worry, I’ll take care of you; I need this.”
And he carried it out. Darrel gave Gail a very large portion of his substantial estate, splitting it evenly between them. She was oppressed by the silence as she sat in her enormous, opulent home.
Examine what you are leaving behind carefully before leaving happiness behind.

Gail thought that her children had handled the divorce too well and that they had come to terms with Darren’s new partner. Even though he knew deep down that it wasn’t fair of her, she couldn’t help but feel deceived.
She thought, ‘They love him. “They want him to be happy, and they want me to be happy too!”
Gail chose to enroll in a creative writing course at her old institution since she had so much free time. Although she was by far the oldest student in the class, she excelled right away.
Her professor, a tall, attractive man in his forties, gave her encouragement and remarked on how talented she was. She ran into him at a neighborhood coffee shop a few weeks after she started class, and they struck up a conversation.
Three hours later, Wallace Campion—a charming man—and Gail were still chatting, so he gently suggested they go out to dinner. Unaware that he saw it as a date, Gail said yes.

Wallace gave her a kiss as he drove her home. Gail was taken aback. With a gasp, “You…Wallace,” she said. “I’m OLD…You…”
In his palms, Wallace cradled her face. “Gail, I had the most amazing night with a really lively and fascinating woman. I have no idea how old you are, and I could care less.”
Suddenly, Gail too showed no concern. Wallace and she became romantically involved before she knew it, and she invited him as her date to a dinner party her daughter was throwing.
Naturally, the kids were shocked. Rather than an attractive, macho man, they had assumed Gail’s date would be someone older! Her oldest daughter declared that they all wanted to speak with her the following day.
Her children intervened, telling her that Wallace was clearly just after her money and that he was too young for her. Ryan, her son, said, “He’s taking you for what he can get, then he’ll leave you for a younger woman!”

With a smile, Gail turned to face her son. She exclaimed, “Oh, that’s OK!” “I’m accustomed to that! It is what your father did.
Gail mutely remarked, “I expect the same acceptance for Wallace that you gave your father’s new wife, is that understood?” as the three of them fell silent and ashamed.
Their expressions gave Gail the impression that she could not rely on them for help. “Never mind,” she concluded. “I’ll be OK!”
Six months later, Wallace proposed to Gail, who accepted and invited her kids to the nuptials. All of them declined, and her eldest daughter was especially disagreeable. After putting down her phone, Gail contacted her attorney and then her daughter again.
“Hun,” she uttered. “I just wanted you three to know that I’m going into my lawyer’s office tomorrow to draft a prenup agreement, and to change my will — I’ll be leaving everything to Wallace.”
Although her kids were furious, there wasn’t much they could do about it. It was Gail’s money, after all, to spend however she pleased. However, Gail was in for one last surprise.
A few days prior to her nuptials, she heard a knock at her door and discovered Darrel standing there, sporting a puppy-like expression. She exclaimed, “Darrel!” It had been almost a year since Gail had seen him, and he looked awful. “What’s wrong?”

It came out that there were errors everywhere. In addition to being diagnosed with diabetes and an autoimmune illness, Darrel’s new wife turned out to be his new ex-wife. Diana was too alive and vivacious to spend time with sick people!
With tears in his eyes, Darrel begged Gail to give him and the rest of them another chance.
Gail grinned. “I’m sorry, Darrel, but I want a new life with a man who wants me for who I am, not as some kind of nurse!” Three days later, she married Wallace, who loved her and didn’t give a damn about her age, while she was still grinning when she slammed the door in Darrel’s face.

Examine what you are leaving behind carefully before leaving happiness behind. Unaware that his devoted wife was what he needed, Darrel left her in search of a young woman who would make him feel younger.
Taking a gamble on love requires guts. Gail chose to give Wallace a chance while knowing that she would face criticism because he was younger and she wanted to be happy.
