Barbra Streisand says she ‘can’t live in this country’ if this happens.
If former President Donald Trump is reelected in 2024, Barbra Streisand declares that she “cannot live in this country” and that President Joe Biden has “done a good job.”
“I’m going to move. In an interview with late-night host Stephen Colbert on The Late Show, Streisand responded, “I can’t live in this country if he became president,” when asked what she thought of the prospect of a second Trump administration.
When Colbert questioned her about her future plans outside of the US, the “Woman in Love” singer said, “Probably to England.” I enjoy England.
Streisand continued, calling the political environment in the US “bad.”
I do like Biden, though. I believe he did a fantastic job,” she continued. “I believe he has sympathy. He is intelligent. He backs the appropriate causes.
The Grammy winner also addressed Colbert’s inquiry regarding the escalation of antisemitism in the US.
She remarked, “It’s really sad.” The fact that people today must coexist while having different religions or for other reasons is really depressing.
Individuals are individuals. It is accurate. We all have the same desires, you know. We all desire family and affection in our hearts.
Everyone wants to feel safe. Whatever faith these individuals belong to, what’s happening to these women and children is awful,
therefore I really hope for the best. Recognize what I mean? This goes beyond faith. It is insane that we cannot learn to coexist peacefully.
She said, “You see, this is why it’s difficult to talk about my profession or even my book while this extremely dangerous situation is taking place in the globe.
“I could cry about this easily. In this moment, where is God? He or she is where? How come that energy can’t put an end to this madness?
During their conversation, Streisand discussed her new memoir, My Name is Barbra, with Colbert.
In her autobiography, Streisand praised her friends Bill and Hillary Clinton as “the most appealing couple” and referred to President Trump as “completely unfit” to be commander in chief.
