Meghan Markle’s Elegant but ‘Wrinkled’ Outfit at International Day of the Girl Event Sparks Conversation
Meghan Markle’s Classy Yet ‘Wrinkled’ Outfit for the International Day of the Girl Event Draws Attention
The Duchess of Sussex visited Girls Inc. of Greater Santa Barbara to commemorate International Day of the Girl and engaged in enjoyable activities with the girls.

Meghan Markle joined a group of happy girls on October 2, 2024, to color, make friendship bracelets, and talk about their online experiences. Although the amusing photos were circulated online, a lot of attention was drawn to her attire, pointing out that it was sophisticated but wrinkled.
Half The Story partnered with Girls Inc. of Greater Santa Barbara to arrange this motivational event. Concurrently, the Archewell Foundation, Pivotal Ventures, and the Oprah Winfrey Charitable Foundation announced financial contributions to support a partnership between #HalfTheStory and Girls Inc. of Greater Santa Barbara.

As per #HalfTheStory, “We’re starting a program with preteens to help them confidently navigate the digital world as part of our partnership.” Through empowerment and real-life experiences, we’re educating girls how to succeed online.”
Larissa May, the creator of #HalfTheStory, was thrilled to have Meghan as her guest. She said on X, “Dreams come true. 🙏🚀For all the girls out there, if a girl from the Midwest can do this, you can too.”

She included a photo of herself posing with Meghan and another woman with her message. Many people posted this picture online and left comments about Meghan’s attire.
The Duchess wore a blue Marie Marot X J. Crew blouse with white collars and white Anine Bing’s Carrie Trousers. Her brunette hair was worn down, and she accessorized her ensemble with a brown belt and beige closed heels.

“#MeghanMarkle cannot help herself, can she?” was the post that a person made about Meghan’s appearance. All of this was clearly a part of a PR blitz 🤦🏻♀️. Please, someone step in and recycle previous looks to pay homage to old masterpieces. They noticed that she seemed to have reworn her trousers when they compared her current attire to one from a prior event.
One commenter on this post called attention to the “Wrinkles” on the pants. “Did she put those pants on backwards?” said another person. Horrible appearance. According to a third commenter, the trousers were a “Wrinkled sloppy mess as usual.”
Another person commented on Meghan’s attire in a post on X, saying, “Despite the wrinkles in the pants, at least the outfit looks halfway decent.”

A flurry of replies followed, with one individual retorting, “That dress looks decent? Hurry up! Men’s clothing that is too small is neither respectable nor flattering. “Disagree with you on the outfit,” said another user, who also thought the first evaluation was incorrect. No waist. pants that are rumpled.
Despite the criticism, Meghan and the women she posed with received a lot of nice feedback. One comment read, “You all look amazing girls… 🔥🥰❤️❤️❤️.” “Nicely done,” said another user, praising them. You women look amazing ❤️❤️. “Everything about this picture is perfect and beautiful,” exclaimed a third commenter.

Since Meghan Markle frequently promotes the constructive use of online platforms, she is no stranger to social media interaction. She established the Archewell Foundation with the goal of empowering girls around the world and ensuring their safety and wellbeing in virtual spaces.
In keeping with this objective, #HalfTheStory will continue to be a strength-based program thanks to funding from The Archewell Foundation. Important subjects including friendships, body image, safe online conduct, and safeguarding against sexual predators will be taught to the girls in the program.

Additionally, the effort will prioritize mental health care, social media responsibility, and online safety education. It will equip girls with the skills they need to move confidently and resiliently through their surroundings.
