Lip Reader Reveals the Private Words Donald and Melania Trump Shared During Their Inaugural Ball Dance

Lip Reader Explains What Donald & Melania Trump Said to Each Other During Their Dance at the Inaugural BallAside from a professional lip reader revealing the words Donald and Melania Trump shared during their dance at an inaugural ball, some netizens shared strong opinions about how the couple appeared.

President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump danced together at the Liberty Ball on January 20, 2025, the day of his inauguration. Jeremy Freeman, a specialist in lip reading, has offered his thoughts on the couple’s interaction during the occasion, which also featured Melania’s stylist’s stunning structured gown.

At the ball, Donald and Melania took center stage while the orchestra performed a soft, romantic tune. The President of the United States (POTUS) put his arm securely around the First Lady of the United States’ (FLOTUS) waist as the couple rocked to the music.

As they spoke in front of the crowd and shared an intimate moment, Melania put her hand on her husband’s back to draw him closer.

Freeman, an Expert Witness Forensic Lip Reader certified by the Deafness Cognition and Language Research Centre at University College London, said Melania said, “Today is one we will never forget.”

In response, Donald said, “You’re right, I’ll learn, I’ll fight.” As Melania gave her support, the conversation became even more intimate, with Melania saying, “I got you.”

Donald remarked, “We’ll see,” in response, according to Freeman, who has been lip reading professionally for more than ten years. Will you be in charge of it? Less difficult, less resistance?” Melania responded, “It’s a no,” and Donald allegedly admitted that he had heard her.

Donald wore a traditional black tuxedo, a white shirt, and a black bow tie to the Liberty Ball, which the two of them attended before finishing the evening at the Union Station’s Starlight Ball.

Melania, meanwhile, dazzled in an elegant white gown with striking black embellishments and an asymmetrical shape that embraced her body. She wore a beautiful black choker with a diamond broach to round off her gentle waved hairstyle.

Herve Pierre, Melania’s go-to stylist, worked closely with her to realize her vision for the FLOTUS’ first gown.

Herve expressed his appreciation for the chance and provided an explanation of the gown’s inspiration in a statement, stating, “It is a big honor […] It was clear that Mrs. Trump was gravitating toward a combination of black and white — true to her own style and vision.”

Herve added to the enthusiasm by bragging about his efforts on Instagram and posting two concept sketches of Melania’s outfit.

The drawing draws attention to the gown’s distinctive features, such as its floor-length, form-fitting design, diagonal black embellishments that flow asymmetrically across the torso, and the black choker she wore to complete the ensemble.

“It was such an honor to create the dress for the First Lady Melania Trump tonight,” Herve wrote in his caption. She has my sincere gratitude. As always, the project was fantastic and the collaboration was excellent. I am really grateful to @atelieryqs for their assistance with that project. Your job is flawless 🙏🏻 [sic].

Netizens expressed a range of thoughts about Melania and Donald’s dance at the Liberty Ball, which caused some online comments.

Some onlookers were not afraid to criticize the exchange, pointing out how awkward the couple’s dance appeared. “Uncomfortable. One spectator said, “If you don’t see that, you’re lying.”

According to another, “Trump and Melania’s Inaugural Ball first dance was something else — a stiff, awkward shuffle that looked more like a hostage situation than a celebration.”

However, not all feedback was unfavorable. One viewer who observed the situation differently remarked, “So sweet,” presenting a contrasting perspective to the greater topic.

The Liberty Ball may have gained enormous notice, but it was only one of three inaugural balls attended by Donald and Melania Trump during the historic evening. At 10:30 p.m., the pair made their first appearance of the evening at the Commander-in-Chief Ball, which kicked off the celebrations.

Eager audiences had waited for hours to see the POTUS and FLOTUS, despite the late schedule. After entering the stage, the two danced slowly to the US Marine Band’s “The Battle Hymn of the Republic.”

Vice President JD Vance and his spouse, Second Lady Usha Vance, joined the Trumps on stage for a partnered dance, making the occasion even more memorable.

Donald took a moment to speak to the audience during the Commander-in-Chief Ball, bringing his characteristic vigor to the occasion. The president remarked, “This is quite a gathering huh?”

An evening full of spectacle, celebration, and events that will surely go down in inaugural history came to a close at the Starlight Ball.

The First Couple’s evening was portrayed as a blend of formalities, celebrations, and public interaction, even though the Liberty Ball garnered a lot of attention online.
