Honoring Officer Carson: A Story of Courage and Commitment
So Sad, Officer Carson
During a high-speed pursuit, a devoted police officer and a loving mother of six was tragically killed. Her death was a tragic and terrible event.
In the early hours of Sunday morning, Phylicia Carson, who is 33 years old and a member of the Osage Beach Police Department, was on duty when a tragic event occurred.
On a remote road close to Lake of the Ozarks, Officer Carson observed a car that was increasing its speed. This was the beginning of everything.
Her determination to preserve law and order compelled her to turn on her emergency lights and begin a pursuit of the defendant. The suspect, on the other hand, had other priorities in mind and made the decision to run.

While Officer Carson was in the midst of the pursuit, his patrol car experienced a loss of control, causing it to careen off the road and collide with a tree.
She was unable to flee the scene because the impact was so strong that the vehicle caught fire, rendering it difficult for her to escape. It is a terrible tragedy that she did not survive the collision.
Despite his continuing efforts to elude law authorities, the suspect, who has been named as Christopher Aaron Bishop Wehmeyer, who is 23 years old, eventually crashed his vehicle and was taken into custody.
An additional inquiry is currently being carried out under the direction of the Missouri State Highway Patrol who are in charge of the investigation.
Officer Phylicia Carson, who had joined the Osage Beach Police Department in June of 2023, was a devoted member of the department. As a result of this unfathomable tragedy, her fellow cops, colleagues, and family are all in utter disfiguration.

She leaves behind her devoted husband, Grant Carson, and their six children, who are now confronted with the challenging challenge of carrying on without her.
Due to the fact that this terrible event is the first on-duty loss in thirty years, it has had a profound impact not only on the community but also on the whole police department.
Chief Todd Davis, whose voice was filled with emotion, pleaded with everyone to remember the Carson family, the department, and the community in their thoughts and prayers.
Following the dissemination of this heartbreaking information, Lieutenant Governor Mike Kehoe expressed his deepest condolences to Officer Carson’s family as well as to his fellow police in a touching tribute that he posted on ABC.
In his remarks, the Lieutenant Governor stressed the significance of remembering the sacrifice made by Officer Phylicia Carson and the necessity of providing support to those who continue to serve and defend for the state.

Since that time, the suspect has been charged with multiple charges, including making an attempt to run, resisting arrest, and being responsible for the death of a law enforcement officer.
At this time, he is still being held without bond in the Camden County Jail while he awaits further legal proceedings.
As members of the community express their sorrow at the passing of Officer Carson, it serves as a poignant reminder of the dangers that law enforcement personnel confront on a daily basis in the course of their duties. Her unwavering bravery, unwavering passion, and unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety of her community will forever be cherished and never forgotten. May God grant her eternal rest.
