This individual completely rammed into my pregnant wife and our shopping cart while we were standing in a grocery queue that seemed to go on for an eternity. I was on the verge of losing it, but she had a new idea up her sleeve that was really incredible. This is a spoiler: Karma is about to bite the dust.

My mother, when I was a child, had a phrase that went something like this: “What happens, happens.” To my surprise, I didn’t find out how accurate it was until much later. To let things go was not something I like doing. It did not appear to be the most prudent course of action to put your faith in karma when you had the ability to take control of the situation.

What I mean is, how often do you truly get the opportunity to witness justice being carried out? It wasn’t until I met Karol, the love of my life, that I realised that he would provide me with a front-row seat to the way in which the cosmos has its own concept of equilibrium.
Come with me as we journey back to the beginning: At the age of 26, I was still trying to figure out what I wanted out of life. She turned out to be the most enjoyable part of my day, each and every day, and I like to think that she was very much responsible for my increased level of relaxation. There is a possibility that this is not accurate; yet, I believe that she altered the way that I viewed life.

During my early adulthood, I experienced feelings of unrest, but those feelings eventually transformed into a protectiveness. Rough and wild in nature. What transpired between us took a considerable amount of time. She showed me how it was possible for us to be friends and lovers at the same time, which was something I had no idea was possible until that moment.

After a period of three years, I made the decision that it was time for me to propose to her by getting down on one knee. We took our time and savoured every moment. A small and uncomplicated ceremony was held with both of our families and several of our closest friends, and then we began the process of settling down.

I had the impression that things couldn’t possibly get any better, but then we found out that Karol was expecting a child. My heart flew into overdrive with its protectiveness when I was in danger. It was almost as if I needed to alert myself to potential peril.

That was the first time that my mother made fun of me. Even though Karol hadn’t even begun to show yet, I was assisting her with various tasks and constantly reminding her to sit down and allow herself to rest. In response to my question, my mother gave me a shake of the head and repeated, “Whatever happens, happens.”

In spite of this, I was still able to be ready for anything that might come my way. As Karol’s belly continued to get larger, the situation only became more dire. The moment she yelled at me was the moment when I became aware of my surroundings and retreated.

“Josh!!!! It is not a problem for me to stand by myself! Holy cow!

I was aware of that, but what if she were to fall? Whatever the case may be, all it took for me to feel a little more at ease was a single glance from her, which was more of a side-eye, in reality. I found some peace of mind as a result of the project that she gave me, which was to decorate the nursery.

However, after a few months had passed, I had the impression that my tranquilly was about to burst. I was concerned about Karol since she was moving around while we were waiting in a very long queue at the grocery shop. Therefore, it was clear that her feet were in pain. After all, she was seven months advanced in her pregnancy.

Our cart and my pregnant wife are both impacted by this enormous man who suddenly bursts through the door.

“Step off, I’m in a rush!”

Quite the arrogance! I couldn’t help but feel my blood start to boil, and I believe it was because of the months that I had been practicing mindfulness. When I was about to unleash a tempest on that idiot, however, Karol grabbed my arm and stopped me in my tracks.

As she said, “Don’t waste yourself on him, just look what will happen next,” she was referring to the situation.

I did not move since I was quite inquisitive. An alarm went off just as Mr. Rude Guy was walking towards the exit, paying for his purchases with a smug expression on his face. Two security personnel materialised out of nowhere and removed him from the area.
I was able to hear Karol giggling. My expression, which I am certain was one of perplexity, shifted to her as I turned to face her. “How did you know?” When I asked, I was on the verge of bursting out laughing as well.

I managed to sneak a small item into his pocket while he was occupied engaging in a game of “throwing his weight around.” “A gift to say goodbye that comes with a security tag.” She responded with a wink and continued to chuckle.

The floor was broken by my jaw. I couldn’t help but laugh along with her as she looked at me with a kind and innocent grin. I married the most incredible woman in the entire world, and I couldn’t be happier.
In addition, I realised that although it is possible to let things happen as they will under the influence of karma, a little bit of prodding may make life a lot nicer.
