Singer Courtney Love is no stranger to making headlines. Over the course of her career that spans several decades, she has been featured in the media on a regular basis.

This is the first time that the singer, who is sixty years old, has spoken publicly about her “big move,” including what it entails and what it was inspired by.

Over the course of the past five years, Courtney Love has been residing in London, and she is currently making preparations to stay there permanently.

The singer who had previously been a member of Hole disclosed that she would be eligible for British citizenship in a period of six months.

And when things heat up in the United States politically, the singer seems to be thrilled about being able to relocate.

Earlier this month, she sat with Todd Almond at London’s Geographical Society and talked about his new oral history Slow Train Coming: Bob Dylan’s Girl from the North Country and Broadway’s Rebirth. She also performed, Dylan’s “Like a Rolling Stone,” at the occasion.

While the two spoke, she was vocal about her life in London. “I’m really glad I’m here. It’s really lovely to live here. I’m finally gaining my British citizenship in six months. I get to be a citizen. I’m applying, man! Can’t get rid of me,” she apparently said.

Though she did not indicate the move was a direct result of President Donald Trump being inducted into office, she has in the past been vocal about her dislike for the politician.

The situation was described as “frightening now,” and she had even compared his political ideology to that of a “emperor-core.”

“In terms of Trump, and particularly this group… it’s like emperor-core. Such as wearing timepieces that cost a million dollars. She went on to say that there is an Emperor-core going on at Mar-a-Lago.

In the month of October 2019, Courtney Love relocated from Los Angeles to London. “Laws,” she said in an interview in 2022, was one of the things that she liked about the city.

The musician is only one of the numerous famous people who are relocating to countries other than the United States of America presently.

At the beginning of this month, Rosie O’Donnell disclosed that she had relocated to Ireland from the United States with her child, who was 12 years old, and was currently in the process of obtaining citizenship.

There was never a time when I imagined that I would relocate to a different country; however, I came to the conclusion that doing so would be beneficial for both myself and my child, who is 12 years old. Rose O’Donnell provided an explanation for her move in a video that she uploaded to TikTok.

By saying, “It’s been heartbreaking to see what’s happening politically and hard for me personally as well,” she made a veiled reference to the fact that the reasons for her move were related to the new administration. We are all aware that anything that is personal is political.

Additionally, Ellen DeGeneres relocated to England with her wife, Ellen DeGeneres, in the previous 12-month period.
