Kevin Bacon & His Wife Share a Peaceful Farm Life — And Her Anniversary Gift Was Adorably Unexpected
Inside Kevin Bacon & His Wife’s Farm with Alpacas, Pigs, & Goats – Two Were His Anniversary Gift to Her
Once, Kyra Sedgwick and Kevin Bacon made a bad investment choice that cost them a sizable chunk of their fortune. But since then, their finances have improved, and they still have a solid marriage despite their decision to live on a farm.
Kevin Bacon and his wife, Kyra Sedgwick, have chosen to live a more straightforward, off-the-grid existence despite being Hollywood celebrities. The Connecticut farm owned by the couple is home to a variety of animals. But Kevin has had to give up some things since he raises livestock. A closer peek at their personal life and farm is provided here.
There are sacrifices involved with owning a farm.
After living on the farm, Kevin disclosed in a 2023 interview that he no longer consumes specific kinds of meat.
The star of “Leave the World Behind” star says, “I no longer eat goat and I no longer eat pig, because I have goats and I have pigs.”

“My wife is like, ‘We can’t get any more animals, because you’re going to stop eating everything,'” he said, providing additional details about his household.
The couple also owns three alpacas, three miniature horses, four goats, and two pigs.
“I love animals, they are a joy to be around, and they are very, very calming for me,” Kevin explained, explaining the motivation behind their expanding collection.
However, we also enjoy going into the garden and harvesting fresh vegetables, tomatoes, basil, peppers, and zucchini.
He went on, “Taking something hot off the vine that feels warm and smells like it’s been created by all these natural forces of the sun and air and water and earth and dirt, and then putting it back into your body to sustain yourself…it’s a great lesson in terms of just how important it is to do our best to try to protect this boat that we’re all riding in.”

Growing up in New York City as a struggling actor, Kevin developed a passion for cooking and cuisine.
He remembered using whatever items he had on hand, such leftover spaghetti, egg, and onion, and fried them in a pan before eating them with a fork.
In order to prevent having too many dishes to clean, the “Toxic Avenger” hero took this action. Even if he isn’t as thrifty as he once was, he still likes to eat at home rather than fancy eateries.

The cast member of “Hollow Man” actor stated, “I feel like if you’re always eating out or you’re always getting something to go, then you’re always giving your power over to the people that are going to prepare the food for you.”
“I can’t do that my entire life,” he continued. I need to be somewhat more mindful of what I put into my body.
His wife doesn’t typically clean up after him when cooking, so he does it himself. This is different from when he was younger.
He explained his approach by saying, “I want to sit down and know that the cleanup is not going to be longer than the dinner.” Additionally, the pair has developed close relationships with a few of their pets.
The Bond in Music With the Animals
Kevin and Kyra, who split their time between New York City, Los Angeles, and Connecticut, sometimes include their pets in their TikTok videos. In videos where Kevin plays guitar and sings, fans point out their goats.
In a hilarious statement, the actress said, “People said, ‘We love you singing with the goats.'” ‘Great, have you seen our movies or TV shows?’ Kevin and I ask. She did, however, praise the attention, stating that “it makes people happy.”
According to Kevin’s 2021 interview, singing with their animals started out as an impromptu pastime amid the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Internet users joined in the fun by suggesting pun-filled songs like “The Kids are Alright” and “New Kids on the Block.”
also the idea of writing a spoof of the Fleetwood Mac classic, “You Can Goat Your Own Way,” was also floated by Kevin. He’s not positive, but he thinks the goats like the musical collaborations!
Kyra disclosed that her husband had given her two of the goats as gifts. A personalized Central Park seat bearing the inscription, “For Kikko: Because… there’s something in the way she moves,” was one of the gifts he gave her. I cherish you, K.
“I was really touched,” she remarked. It was lovely. As gifts for their wedding anniversary, Kevin gave her the goats, Macon and Louis. Kyra truly enjoyed getting animals for such a special occasion, he said.
Kevin talked about how affectionate Macon is and how it could easily take care of itself all day while stroking, patting, and scratching him. The actor laughed when he was complimented on his farming prowess and acknowledged that he doesn’t do anything himself.

The celebrity is still passionate about performing and is grateful that he can still find employment, despite his enjoyment of life on the farm. He claimed that the pandemic increased his appreciation for that chance.
Losing Money and Getting Back Up
Kevin and Kyra experienced financial ups and downs prior to the epidemic. They lost their money in Bernie Madoff’s Ponzi scam, while Kevin made money through an EE marketing agreement. He spoke it candidly when he appeared on the “SmartLess” podcast in 2022.
The actor disclosed that the fact that they had most of their money in Madoff had a significant impact on them. They learnt, he said, that “if it’s too good to be true, it’s too good to be true.”

Fortunately, Kyra was there to support him, and the two of them bore the repercussions together. Resolving to “roll up our sleeves and get to work,” they expressed gratitude for their children and good health.
They also emphasized the other good things in their lives, such as their ability to continue working. While acknowledging that many others experienced considerably worse, Kevin acknowledged that they were upset. Numerous elderly people and others lost all of their retirement funds.
In those difficult moments, the pair held fast to the saying, “What doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger.”
That same year, Kyra also thought back on the incident, saying, “It was humiliating…” The pair has been married for more than 30 years in spite of the difficulties. They have two children together: a girl named Sosie and a son named Travis.
The actress from “The Woodsman” revealed some of the truths that underlie their enduring romance.
She continued, “We’ve always been each other’s biggest support and fans.”
“A sense of humor is crucial,” the actor added, underscoring the need of humor. He is so hilarious.
They take pleasure in the more peaceful times of life when they are not working.
The actor’s spouse said, “To me, walking down the street together just shooting the [expletive] in the middle of the night still feels like a nice place to be.”

But he claimed that when Kyra is directing, he has never seen her happier.
Kevin is 66 years old and was born on July 8, 1958. “She just really loves directing,” he explained. Being a cast member or crew member means you can’t avoid getting caught up in that [excitement].”
As Kyra puts it, “I love being in charge of the storytelling.” She aspires to direct more in the future.
The couple’s lives are even more tranquil now that they are empty nesters, in addition to the peace they feel from being away from the glamour and glitz of Hollywood.

Born on August 19, 1965, the actress is currently 59 years old. She also talked about the adjustment to becoming an empty nester.
In the comedy show “Call Your Mother,” Kyra Sedgwick portrayed a mother acclimating to an empty home, reliving the experience of being an empty nester.
She remarked, “I think it’s a real crushing blow, honestly, when they leave you,” after her kids moved out.
Even though it was challenging, she took solace in the knowledge that she had done her job effectively and contributed to their independence. She is very pleased with how her kids are still learning from one another.
