Bungee Jump Gone Wrong: Woman Plunges Into River with Crocodiles — What Happened Next

Woman F.alls 360ft Into Crocodile-Infested Waters After Bungie Cord Snaps

An Australian tourist experienced a bungee cord that broke, causing her to fall 360 feet into seas that were teeming with crocodiles.

When Erin Langworthy was traveling in Zambia in 2012, she took the decision to do something that she had never done before: she decided to bungee jump from a bridge that overlooked the Zambezi River, which is famous for its powerful currents and large population of crocodiles.

Her bungee cord broke in the middle of the air, sending her tumbling about three hundred and sixty feet into the rushing waters below. What was meant to be an exciting event turned out to be a horrifying reality.

The moment that Langworthy dove into the sea after the cord eventually gave way was captured on video and published on various social media platforms.

Langworthy struggled to maintain her buoyancy as the river swept her downstream, despite the fact that she was being dragged by the fierce current.

She somehow escaped the fall as well as the possible danger posed by predators that were hiding in the shadows.

It is said that she had to swim with her feet tied together in order to untie the cord due to the fact that it became entangled on rocks.

The bungee company’s employees were successful in pulling her out of the river and saving her life. She was then sent to a hospital in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, in an emergency situation.

The fall that Langworthy had occurred around 5:30 p.m., but she did not arrive at the hospital until 11:00 p.m., at which point she was placed on a ventilator and antibiotics were given to her in order to prevent infection.

Due to the fact that the young woman had consumed polluted water, medical professionals treated her for ailments such as partially collapsed lungs and monitored her status.

This was done because of worries regarding the water that she had consumed.

The results of the X-ray showed that she did not have any broken bones, which is a fortunate development.

The fall and the possible danger posed by predators that were hiding in the shadows were miraculously avoided by Erin Langworthy.

The Department of Foreign Affairs and Travel of Australia is credited for this.

“I started coughing up blood, and I started to worry about injuries that were occurring inside of me. Langworthy remembered his experience in an interview with The Guardian, saying, “I just felt exhausted and struggled to process what had happened.”

After some time had passed, the bungee firm paid a visit to the woman who was being treated at the hospital. They expressed their regret for the tragedy and their amazement that she had overcome such a perilous circumstance.

During this time, Langworthy has divulged a heartfelt information on a humorous moment that occurred prior to her jump.

It was a humorous postcard that she had sent to her mother, in which she had written, “I’m going to take a bungee jump tomorrow, so I’ll say farewell… I was simply joking!

The postcard has now become a cherished memento in the house of her family, despite the fact that her mother continues to be emphatic that she will not take part in any activities that are comparable to those that she participated in in the past.
