Betrayal in Camouflage: A Soldier’s Heartbreak Returning to a Changed Home

Missing Soldier Comes Home to Find His Wife Married

When Anna’s husband, Scott, who had been missing for six years and was thought to be dead, reappears with a legitimate cause, she finds herself in an unexpected predicament. Anna finds herself torn between her present spouse, Ryan, and Scott, and must make a tough decision.

A knock on the front door startled Anna as she was preparing dinner for Ryan’s birthday.

“Ryan, do you really have to—” As Anna started to swing the door wide, she was taken aback to see Scott standing there.

“This isn’t feasible! It’s been six years since your death.” With trembling, Anna exclaimed.

“You are my wife, Anna. Who will believe that I am still alive if not you? Scott said, but her attention was diverted.

Sorry, Scott thought to himself. I was being pursued by some frightening men, but I didn’t want to leave you.

“Mom, has Ryan returned yet? To whom are you speaking?” Scott came out of the house with Anna’s daughter.

“D-Dad?” Alice let out a scream. Anna was brought back to reality by the father and daughter’s embrace the following minute.

Scott saw a new portrait on the wall as soon as he walked inside—it was of Anna and Ryan at their wedding. Anger grabbed hold of him, and he forgot why he was here. He could not be home because he had been stuck. However, Anna had moved on too soon.

“How much time did it take you to take my place? “A year?” he angrily asked her.

“You were gone for six years, Scott; I had to move on for Alice’s sake.”

Scott was about to respond when Ryan came in with roses. “Look, Anna, on my birthday, I got you roses.” However… When he spotted Scott, he froze. “You? You ought to be.

“Dead?” Scott complained.

Scott vanished from sight after embarking on the covert mission to take on a formidable enemy organisation, and the Army was unable to find him. He had made up his mind at one point to go back to Anna and tell her the truth even though he knew she had been informed he was dead. He had only come back lately, and he had no idea how many years had gone by.

“Yes,” Ryan angrily said. “I desire for you to vanish! Once more!”

“Ryan!” Anna let out a scream.

“What? He anticipates that his family will still be waiting for him after six years. That sounds self-centered, doesn’t it? Ryan spit out, “If he really cared, he should have arrived sooner. “Leave!”

“You’re not qualified to judge me. You’re not aware of the struggles I faced.” Scott shot back, clearly frustrated.

I now have Anna as my wife, not yours. “We have been married for three years,” Ryan declared with a sly smile. “We’re about to have a birthday party, so excuse me if I can’t see you at the door!”

Scott wasn’t present to show off.

“Scott, hold on! We can discuss this,” Anna begged, but Scott departed, leaving Alice inconsolable.

Alice cried out, wanting to be with her biological father. “Mommy, please, I want to go with Daddy,” Alice exclaimed.

“Alice, I can—” Ryan started, but Alice lost her temper. “You aren’t my father! I detest you both! How could you, Mommy, let Daddy go?”

Feeling conflicted, Anna begged to be left alone to reflect, leaving Ryan to mull over the shattered remnants of their relationship. Her predicament grew more pressing as she sat in the backyard contemplating the state of affairs.

Anna came back an hour later, deciding to concentrate on the next party. But when Scott returned to the party, things took an unexpected turn and Ryan and Scott’s animosity flared up again.

“Scott just got back, baby, so let him stay for the celebration.” “Alice will also be happy to see him,” Anna said coolly, trying to diffuse the situation.

After becoming enraged for a while, Ryan decided to put his anger aside and enjoy the party instead. As she had done for the previous three years, Anna kissed Ryan out of impulse, which enraged Scott. He had had enough of his wife kissing other men. He decided to come back later.

Alice’s loud yell reverberated from the stairs as Scott rushed for the door. She cried out, “Daddy!” and jumped into his arms.

Scott gently carried Alice and taunted, “You’ve grown much bigger,” realising how much had changed in six years.

Scott was obliquely given permission to remain with Alice when Anna silently escorted Ryan off to greet guests.

Scott was unhappy, but he respected Anna’s choice and enjoyed the party.

But Ryan felt more and more overshadowed as he noticed Anna’s diversion and saw her eyes linger on Scott and Alice. He drank to drown his frustrations, worrying that Scott would wreck everything.

I really hope he’s gone! Ryan pondered while sipping his drink.

“Go easy on yourself. “You must still bid farewell to the guests,” Anna said, causing Ryan to halt. But his longing for Anna to bear his kid made his thoughts resentful once again. Then perhaps you would love me even more.

When Anna realised Ryan had caught her glancing at Scott, she made an effort to make things right, but tension spoiled the party’s finale. Raise your glass, Ryan! “I’d like to thank my wife for this lovely arrangement! May we always be together!”

The celebration was about to end, but Ryan became enraged when Scott took too long to say goodbye.

He spit out, “I don’t want you to come here again,” to Scott.

Ryan believed that if he could enrage Scott, the man would eventually lose control and strike him. Ryan would then have an incredible time disseminating the news about a soldier assaulting a law-abiding civilian.

“Are you serious? Do you not want me to visit your home? Instead, Scott smirked and claimed possession, saying, “It’s in my name. “I get that for three years you’ve been looking after my family, and I thank you, but now I’m back,” said Scott.

“Look, man, it’s better if you get out of here right away. Legally speaking, you’re dead, and I expect to see you in court the next time.”

Scott withdrew and walked away. But Anna didn’t relax. Now she was at a loss for what to do.

“Do you love me?” As they lay in bed, Ryan questioned sharply, “What about Scott? Are you in love with him?

When asked who she loved more, Anna found it difficult to respond and said, “I-I don’t know.”

Hurt, Ryan turned his back.

Ryan intended to speak with Alice about Scott’s visiting schedule the day after he moved out with Anna and Alice. He gave Anna a kiss before he left for work, sensing her developing aloofness.

Alice soon disappeared to play, leaving Anna by herself until Scott showed up out of the blue carrying flowers.

“What are you doing here?” He stood on the threshold, asking Anna.

“Aren’t you going to ask me to come in?” Scott made fun of them.

He was invited inside by Anna. “You’re my wife,” he replied, standing near her. They held out their marriage certificate and said, “It’s already enough that I’m alive to dissolve your marriage with Ryan.” “Everything we had and more is ours. He drew himself closer to Anna, saying, “I don’t want to live without you. “I don’t want to see Alice on weekends; I want to kiss her goodnight every day.”

“I want to kiss you every day,” he uttered in a whisper as he leaned in close to kiss her. “I know you love me, Anna, and I love you too,” he whispered, drawing his lips closer to hers. Anna gave an impassioned reply.

They were so caught up in the moment that they were unaware of Ryan’s arrival.

Anna’s eyes filled with tears. There was Scott, the love of her life and her daughter’s father, and there was the man who had done so much for her and Alice when Scott vanished.

“Why don’t you say something? I should at least be given an explanation.” Ryan screamed at her.

“She is not deserving of apology. Holding Anna’s hand, Scott declared, “I’m her husband, and the fact that I’m alive means your marriage is no longer legal.”

Anna begged for a cool-headed conversation amidst the chaos. Anna was left torn between the two men when Ryan, unable to accept the situation, left the house.

Scott ignored Ryan’s departure and consoled Anna. They were excited about their reunion but didn’t realise how it affected Ryan, who left the house and went to a pub to drown his sorrows.

Additionally, Scott made the decision to inform Anna of his predicament and the men he was attempting to avoid. With the help of a friend and his military background, Scott had come up with a strategy to take on the opposing group. He misled them by feeding them misleading information in an anonymous manner.

“I was hesitant to come here because of them. However, I am working on a plan. For six years, I have worked on this day and avoided going home. We just need to take one more step to make it successful. Now that our plan was working, I could receive a call at any time.”

Scott received that call. He was able to ensnare the enemy unit. At this point, Scott just wanted to live a quiet life and go back to his family. He wouldn’t go back to anything that would cause him to lose contact with his family.

In the meantime, a devastated Ryan told the barman what he believed to be his error. The barman gave him advice on how to show his love by getting down on his knees and encouraging him to fight for it. Ryan departed before the barman could continue.

Alice answered the door as Ryan got home. He grabbed a gallon of fuel and quickly packed, assuming Anna and Scott were busy.

“I’ll miss you,” he gave Alice a hug.

When Scott and Anna entered the living room, she innocently inquired, “When are you coming back?”

“I see you two are fully together. Expected,” Ryan said, and he began spilling gasoline in every corner of the room.

“Don’t set the house on fire! Please!” she cried as Scott moved to protect Alice. Ryan had truly considering killing them all. But no, he wouldn’t do that! He couldn’t kill the ones he had loved!

“I’m leaving, heading to my cabin. Need the fuel. I’ll pick up my stuff later,” Ryan hurriedly responded, wanting to go, but Anna prevented him.

“hello, hello, I know you’re hurt. But I’m sorry. Stay the night. You’re inebriated. I know you won’t injure us again!”

“I’m leaving, Anna. Scott will make you happier,” Ryan argued, turning to Scott. “Take care of them.”

“I will,” Scott nodded as Ryan exited. They didn’t fight for the first time.

Before Scott moved to stand next to Anna, she was fixated on the door.

“I’ll never leave again, and I’ll make you the happiest woman,” he said.

Though heartbroken, Anna was confident in Scott. She was aware that Ryan had given them a lot, but he needed to try to move on. Alice, meanwhile, was just happy that her father had returned and was staying.
